Aftermarket - “Does not fit your xxxx Gladiator”…..List (or does it)?

I have a 2024…. Last summer while shopping for Gladiator ‘stuff’ - I’ve run into “This does not fit your 2024 Gladiator”. At that time, I get it…. The Aftermarket world hasn’t caught up to making sure their products FIT yet.

Last summer, I was looking at slider steps. The website listed 2020-2022. So of course… I’m thinking…”Why not everything else?” After a couple phone calls to the company - ‘let me get back to you’ never occurred.
They were on sale by 40% - I ordered them anyway.
Imagine that… They bolted up perfectly. I emailed the company w/ photos and they still haven’t updated their website.

Fast forward to now… a year later…. and I’m still running into…. “…this doesn’t fit your 2024 Gladiator”. I have a Sunshade coming today from Amazon (Mastertop) that isn’t supposed to fit my 2024. Again, after some phone calls to Mastertop & Quadratec….. They won’t comment either way. I ordered one anyway….off Amazon. Easy & free returns.
Last summer, I also ordered a ‘Bikini‘ style top from Amazon… It listed “This WILL fit your 2024 Gladiator” - I couldn’t get it to install no matter what I tried. The mounting locations on the frontal windshield bracket were 1/2” off. I honestly don’t know if it was the product itself or a variation in my year Jeep. Needless to say..I returned it!!!

I’ve held off on at least one purchase because of this same issue. Sure would have been nice to know if it fit my ‘24 as I was trying to upgrade my soundbar.
And the biggest change (I can see) was the dash, associated sound system, and some interior components.

The front bumper on my Gladiator was made for JK not JL or GT. Bolted straight up and on.

Since I have the OEM Trail Cam, I ordered a Lasfit hood lock. At the time it said it was good up to 2023. I had run into the "does not fit" only to see that it did fit for some products. So I took a chance.

The product came, and on the 2024's (at least on Rubicons and Mohave with the X package) underneath the steering wheel has been reconfigured so the product would not fit. Kudos to Lasfit, they promptly emailed me a label and issued me a full refund after they got the return. I notice their site now says 2024+ will not fit.

Just an FYI: My RSE rock slider steps for the JT are different from the 2020-2023 JT. The RSE site lists two versions for the JT, one model for 2024+ and another model number for 2023 and before.

Also, because of the side curtain airbags, the MOPAR grab handles are different part numbers and look different that years before 2024.

There’s your answer. The airbags in the roll bar will interfere with sun shades as well as grab handles. I can say that the Bestop Sunrider went off my wife’s 18 JLU and onto her 24 JLU with no problems at all.

From what I’ve researched… the 2023’s have front side airbags while the 2024’s have front & rear side airbags. But then …I thought… it’s just straps. . I called Mastertop and I think I totally confused the person on the phone when I said…”Aren’t the straps lone enough?”

Unless of course…probably a liability issue…. You can’t put anything around the airbags to interfere deployment. But then….why does it fit 2023’s…??

OH please tell me to stop overthinking this shit….

Side airbags are in the seat, side curtain airbags are above the door. 2023 had side airbags but not the side curtain airbags. Confused me at first, too.

This sounds like the issue for the Rock Slide Engineering steps. If you try to put the 2023 version on a 2024+. some grinding is required to get the 2023 mounting bracket to fit. Also there is another bracket for the power on/off switch that is different on the RSE steps between 2023 and 2024+ due to the way the brackets under the steering wheel were redesigned for 2024+ rubicons and mojaves with the X package. (I do not know if all 2024+ have that new configuration under the steering wheel or just X package models).

Mystery solved……
Made an attempt to install the Shademaker Mesh Bimini Plus top on the 2024.
Ordered it off Amazon - so it would be an easy return if it didn’t work.
Amazon said “This doesn’t fit your 2024” - I had to see it for myself.

I had to take out the windshield bolts to feed the front straps thru. The back straps fed thru (with hardtop still on) but there wasn’t much leftover strap after threading thru the buckle.

The biggest issue….. The mesh top uses a single factory bolt on the rollbar at the back on both sides.

The 2024 has two bolt locations on the rollbar on each side. That attachment point (on the mesh top) is right smack in the middle of the two.

Returning!!!

C’mon Aftermarket folks….. Chop chop! Git your stuff updated for the newer Gladdy’s!!

I have a question. Are the fenders between the JL, JLU, and the Gladiator the same between the different years?
I want to buy some stickers for that area and one Mopar site says they fit. But another Mopar site says they do not fit??
eBay motors says they do not fit.
Etsy has the stickers as fitting all the fenders?? Something like this.

I did…. I have the Spiderwebshade JTkini (front half).
It uses little aluminum nubs that you attach to factory bolts. The bungees wrap around the top of the rollbar and around the nubs. There’s nothing blocking the airbags.

If it does ‘flap’ (up at speed), it’s not annoying and pretty quiet. A little fiddly getting the freedom panels out & back on again….. I’d developed a different way of doing it to make it easier (for me because I’m not as strong as ya’ll men are ).
