Fairly obvious that the majority demographic of Gladiator owners would be of the age who can afford (prime earning years) one of, if not the most expensive mid-size truck on the market. Were you expecting something different?
In my experience, these days it's the opposite. Retired have more money to spend than while working.
Every single retired person I have talked with - at least of my peers, of my age group, have more disposable income now than when they were 20-40.
I could have NEVER afforded such a truck then - and got by with either used trucks or really pushed my budget hard for a truck I could afford, was totally practical, etc.
Those working should be saving - even my son will often say that people he knows are saving zip, spending it all now on whims and wanting it all, wanting it now, and he's concerned they will never be able to retire.
He's planning on retiring before he's 50.

Prime earning years certainly aren’t between 20-30. More like 30-60 (or even 40-55 I’d be willing to bet) just like the results of this poll indicate.

So with only 2% of the responses are under 25 and 21% in the next youngest demo of 26-35, which is where I fall. I'd agree I know a lot of younger people who haven't saved much to this point, but don't paint blanket statements of we all buy more than we can afford and everyone needs things now, it's just not the case. If it were, I'd have spring for a fully loaded Rubi and financed it for 7 years. Instead I got a great deal on a sport s that checked all the boxes for what I need now and nothing I didn't. My wife and I have 3 children, are on our second house, and still save well over 10% of our income, so yea, we're not all totally lost, irresponsible, and saying YOLO everytime we do something risky. Oh and I can drive a manual too!

Yeah, I was 26 when I bought my first new car. Truck, actually. 1981 Flareside Ford F100. Strained my finances a little, but not bad. That would make me 65 now. And I have to admit that the older I get, the easier it is to lump people in together and that's not fair. That and the damned Internet feeds off of our preconceived notions, amplifies it, monetizes it, sends it back, and begs us to click on it. We each have our own personalized echo chamber, courtesy of the algorithms developed by engineers and executed as well as shaped by AI.

Sorry, that got long winded. I just watched a documentary on Netflix called "The Social Dilemma".

It is an expensive truck but unlike most trucks, it doubles as a fun toy vehicle as well without the need to go Raptor or ZR2 or any of those packages. You can get a cheaper S or mid-50s Overland and it'll be just as capable or better than those $75-80k trucks and you still get a convertible too!

So you really save money with a JT versus a regular truck and then a convertible weekend car.

I'm a teenage 64 year old. I have only bought 3 new cars in my life, all of them Jeeps. I have owned over 40 Jeeps and still have about a dozen or so (I forget)

I am 67 and retired 5 years. Purchased 2020 Sport Gladiator Sept. 2020. This is my 14 th Jeep since bought first in 1973. Starting with a ‘64 Wagoneer then four Grand Wagoneers, a couple of Cherokee Limiteds, a Wrangler, a Comanche pickup and four Grand Cherokees! Left Jeep for Lexus and F150s for several years but could not resist the Gladiator! Been waiting for this one a long time! Tow behind motorhome. It’s a Jeep Thing?.

First Jeep product was a 2018 JL. Needed something to tow behind motorhome that I could go off road in. Saw the JT liked it bought it. I tow it behind the Motorhome and have had a blast off road, and climbing dunes. Couldn't stand it so got MOPAR 2" lift last week. I'm not a spring chicken at 71 but really young at heart. Headed West again this summer for some fun.

71. Looks like I'm second oldest to reply, thus far, behind Bruce. And he was wise enough to make knowing his age a math quiz. ;-) Second Jeep. Keeping the first. Too many good memories, and it makes a better overlanding rig than the Gladiator (at least right now) ...

I wonder how the results match up to the general population. Looks pretty close to the ignorant naked eye.
