The wife, pup, and I got back at it this weekend with a trip to Seward, Hope, and Anchorage Alaska. Here are some highlights:

Remember when I mentioned we were planning to go to Prudhoe Bay? Well that was supposed to happen in August but the wife is concerned with road conditions that late in the year. We're now going this weekend! ?

We'll be leaving from our home in Palmer tmrw after work heading to Fairbanks. We'll work from there and once the work day is over, we're on a mission to get on the Dalton Highway heading to the edge of the continent and artic ocean.

Wish us luck. We'll report back if we make it ?

This is how it started, clean ?

It may be hard to see, but that's Denali off in the distance. We couldn't help but try to get the Great One and the Jeep together for a shot

We eventually made it to Healy, Alaska. And they have a brewery...so...

I doubt I'll ever be able to bring my own Gladiator up there - but - I've been researching renting a kitted out vehicle from a vendor up there for a trip some day.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Fairbanks so that we could work Friday and then hit the road after that.

First thing, tho, fuel in Fox, Alaska.

Then the Dalton

Megan had a copy of the Milepost which is a book that contains mile by mile information. This proved to be extremely helpful and also insightful as they add facts and tidbits.

We kept the action going and dropped into the Yukon River Camp for fuel:

We finished the day in Coldfoot. Grabbed fuel and then camp

Puppy cuddles the next morning before heading back out in the road

We made a pitstop on the way that has this cool pebble sitting around

..and then we made it to the end of the road!

You can't actually drive to the Arctic, you have to take a shuttle. So we did! Alcohol is banned in the area, so we smuggled one in a concealed container.

From there it was all about driving back.. And beer
