Tomorrow morning I am getting 315-70-17 BFG-KO2 in C mounted as many many have done. Promised no rubbing on my JT Rubicon with factory stock suspension. Getting good money for the Falcon's while they are new so got to do it now. Is there any reason not to do this? Using the factory 7.5 wide wheels. Then I'll decide on any suspension mods if needed.

It sounds reasonable to me.

I chose not to swap after I got my Gladiator. Partly because in person the stock 33s already look pretty big.

Also, I found I could no get much at all for my Factory Falken ATs locally.

I only drive it about 7K a year so the ones I have on it now will last several years. The days of waiting are over.

I went 35x12.5 , all stock.

I ended up lifting a few months later. Not because of any rubbing, just more performance off-road.

Any lifting is the last thing. Bumpers and winch, maybe. Rocker sliders, AEV camper shell. I can easily see $7500 going without a fancy lift. But I know that the 315-70-17 KO2s will be the best tires for me.

My opinion…run it how you like it. There are drastically opposite viewpoints on this subject, but if you’re comfortable with it then send it.

I did a ton of research ahead of my tire purchase, and ended up doing the exact same thing. The 315/70R17 KO2s look and perform great on my ‘21 JTR on stock wheels. No worries after running like this for a while.

Ultimately, I ended up buying a 3” JKS lift and some other parts purely for more versatility off the beaten path and aesthetics, but never once thought about changing wheels. This style is exactly what I wanted when I bought the Gladiator.

I had a 14 JKUR that I did a lot of suspension on. 3 different sets of springs and shocks. Lifted it 4 inches, to much. IMO, Falcon and Bilstein is digressive and stiff. The higher you go the stiffer it gets due to CA angles. At 3 inches the rules change and the $$$ flow. Keeping a nice factory highway ride with a small lift is my goal.
