For guys that have tents on there cap if the tent is wider then the 1450mm load bars would that prevent mounting an awning?

not prevent but you may have to shift the tent over. I have the gen 3r so my tent barely is inside the load bars. Unfortunately for you my awning attaches directly to the tent not the load bars.

there’s someone here with ikamper that had an awning in the beginning pages

Thanks man I was thinking I would maybe have to shift it over a few inches. Hopefully it doesn't look to wonky lol

The only one I've seen is Asheville Vehicle Outfitters do a Baja Design chase light.

@ 8:25 mark
Actually picking up this exact Cap from AVO in a couple weeks. Coming from a X4 rollup tonneau so looking forward to some more storage when needed.

How much taller does the Alu-Cab Contour Canopy sit above the cab of the JT? Thanks.

The cap is a little more square than the factory hardtop, and has rails on the outer edge, so it ends up sitting about 2.5" at the edges and about even in the center.

I'll Try'n post some pictures to demonstrate.

Best place to get the National Luna lights in the US is Equipt. You can replace the plastic covers with either amber or red. I have the amber cover on the lights that come with the canopy. They are notorious for having bad switches, so give them a jiggle. You'll have to drill out the rivets on the lights to get to the screws on the back of the light.

Light: https://www.equipt1.com/collections/national-luna/products/hard-mount-dual-level-light
Cover: https://www.equipt1.com/collections/national-luna/products/led-lens

Besides the upgrade to the NL touch lights or can look at the Baja Designs rock lights too? But both are pricey.
I’m about to pick up a contour canopy in the next couple weeks and want to switch to amber lights by replacing the cover. Would you mind giving a little bit more detail about this? I haven’t seen the lights in person yet. Are the rivets what fastens the light to the canopy?

Ya not sure why alu-cab does it this way but they are riveted to a swivel bracket in the canopy. Just two though on each end of the light. I drilled them out and put small bolts back on instead. Once the light is detached from the bracket, there are four phillips heads screws on the back to change out the cover. It's pretty easy - just take it slow on the rivets.

Couldn’t find any molle panels that would work well with the m8 track on the ceiling of the canopy so I made my own. Decided on a modular system that piece seamlessly together, could configure just 1 or 6 (can run 2 wide) to cover the entire ceiling. Made from high grade aluminum, laser cut and powder coated. I choose Olive Grab but could do other colors or black.

I already mounted up my ARB single compressor using the 1/4in slots. Gives all kinds of flexible to configure the canopy how you want.

Sorta testing the waters of selling them. Curious if anyone in this forum would be interested in purchasing?

@BSchanze Did you ever decide on selling the molle panels?
Also, how are those traction boards mounted?

I'm still open to it but there isn't a really good way to do it unless I get a bunch of pre-orders to get cost down for bulk ordering. Otherwise it's like $500 for an order of 3 that are powder coated black. If you're interested we can talk separately.

As for the Maxxtrax -using the GP Factor universal mount. https://gp-factor.com/collections/maxtrax-mounting-solutions/products/gp-maxtrax-universal-latch-kit that are attached to some U brackets like this that I had laying around.
