Aluminium Steering Parts

So... the latest 10 August 2020 TSB replaces the aluminium steering box with one made of steel.
A casual look underneath also reveals the steering knuckles are also made from aluminium.

Anyone want to join a "Forum Pool" as to what the next steering failure may be?

Mojave has cast iron knuckles.

The two things are totally different. One is a structural part, the other is mechanical.

No one even knows if the material was the entire fix. No one knows what other design mods were made of what the software fix did.

Many things are made of aluminum including airplanes.

I don't see why knuckles would be the next thing to fail.

I mean I am replacing a steel part with aluminum (tie rod).. I dont think its a material issue so much as a right material for the job issue. The stock box flexed when turning. Thats where the Synergy brace came into play improving things so much as it added rigidity.

In other parts flexing is preferred as it will go back to its original shape.

Not saying anything is wrong... yet...

My JKUR steering box and knuckles are steel to begin with, and not aluminium...
My JLUR steering box and knuckles are aluminium...
My JTR steering box and knuckles were delivered in aluminium, now the steering box is steel...

and I am eyeballing the RPM aluminium "sticks" for my JTR...

...just sayin...
