Hi everyone.....So I have been going to every dealer here in Central Florida to try and find the best deal. Going to all those dealers I have test driven 2 of them now, one sport and one rubi....They do feel pretty tight for a guy my size even compared to my 2016 terrain....I am 6'5' 275lbs...my head sort of rubs on the cross bar and the lateral should and leg room seem pretty narrow...the seat I noticed doesn't drop to much or slide back very far. My question is are there any mods or aftermarket options I can get for the seat to help with this? or do I just need to be looking at full size trucks! Thanks all and great to meet you!

I can't speak of the mods for the JT but I know they had mods for a JK to bring the drivers seat back. I'm still waiting for mine so I got nothing for you. I will say I'm 5'10 @225 and it's about as small as id want to go.

So I’m 6’5” also but weigh in at 205lbs. I have absolutely none of the issues that you describe but I do know what you are talking about as I was 260lbs 2yrs ago and my JKUR felt that way to me at the time. Nowadays the JKUR is more comfortable to me than the JT, it simply has more room in my opinion. My biggest gripe with the JT/JL is the T-case shifter, my knee is always against it, I wish there were a different shifter available that would offset it a bit towards the right. And the forward visibility isn’t as good as the JK’s, even as tall as we are I still have a hard time seeing the front fenders compared to the JK.

I did see where someone else mentioned that they bought seat brackets to give more legroom but Im guessing that it would raise the seat at the same time so Im not sure that would help too much.

Thanks for feedback....I was thinking along those lines of longer seat brackets or something ....it's the only thing on the negative side about these trucks for me

Do you just have your seat all the way back and leaned alittle?

I don’t think my seat is all the way back but I do have it reclined some but I have read where some people are putting washers under the front bolts to give the front of the seat a little lean

I am 6'4", 295 lbs. My only complaint is lateral leg room. That being said, if you cannot find a happy spot to adjust to, do not talk yourself into it because you will regret it later as time goes on if you are not 100% comfortable.

6'5" 275lb...sorry I'd go full size pick up. Tons more room to be comfortable instead forcing yourself to fit.

depends what he wants to do. no full size truck will go offroad like the gladiator if that's what he wants.

Do like I am doing now since I got the gladiator meal prep that way you can fit in the gladiator like you want to and then ride around with your shirt off
r

Oh I meal prep alittle to much that's the problem...I'm a 2 time bodybuilding local champ.....the shirt will definitely be off....I love the gladiator and all the jeepness that comes with it....that's why I was asking for an mod or aftermarket seat tracks....but I feel like it would be fine if I could push the seat alittle further back and down then it goes

I am sure somebody will make longer seat brackets there is some company making a spacer kit to raise the front of the seat or you can raise the hole seat with their kit I think it’s suppose to give the seat a little upward slant in the front I wonder if you had a set of seat brackets if a great welder could extend your seat brackets
