What sold me on the Rough Country tonneau cover was that you didn't have to finagle with levers and twisting things around to open the panels. YOu pull on a wire, and the back section opens. You pull on the next wire, and the middle section opens. No, the third section doesn't open, but if it did, you wouldn't be able to see out of the back window if you had to use it that way. I'm really happy with mine.

Rugged Ridge was also an option I am looking at as its within my budget as well.

Thanks to everyone so far on the feedback ??.

I wonder if there would be any interference with the DNA one if adding a bed rack system? Looks like the unit is pretty wide from the pictures.

Some people swear by the soft cover, but I have a hard time shelling out money for something that a street hood with a pocketknife could break into. The hard cover could be broken into, but it would take a lot more effort. Just my 2 cents.

it wouldn’t take anymore effort. A small pry bar and those hard covers can be defeated. These aren’t security tools. Just keeps shit dry and honest people honest.

All I'm saying is, you're not going to stick a pocketknife through the top of an aluminum cover. Yeah, you could pry it open but I would say that it takes at least a little more effort, and I'm very likely not out a tonneau cover after they do it either.

That’s exactly what happened with my soft roll up tonneau cover. A camelbak was stolen but nothing else. Hope this hard tonneau would prevent these thieves.

I looked at those but )really_ wanted the ease to open from one side or the other and as much access to my bed as I could get - it was a hard decision. After having Roll-N-Lock on 2 trucks ago and on my last truck a BakFlip - I bought the BakFlip (G2) again. It will give you access to 95% of your bed with it completely folded up and has release wires to open it up without latches you have to get to on either side of the bed. It is pricy but as much as I use my whole bed, I would rather pay for accessibility and use. As for blocking the back window when open - it does, but if I have to have it open that much, the window will likely be blocked anyway. My thoughts on my needs anyway :)

Much appreciated Perp….I dont use my entire bed all that often but would still be nice to use it when there is a need.
