The AmFib Snorkel connects to the lower portion of the stock air box. To my knowledge, there are no aftermarket CAI's that use the stock lower air box, so the only way to make it work would be with some customization of whatever CAI you're using.

There is a Cold Air Intake from Mopar which includes a new upper air box lid and intake tube along with a high flow filter that would work without any modification! The inside of the air box lid is smooth without any internal ribs or bracing like the stock air box lid. The opening to the intake tube and the tube itself is also larger in diameter and it eliminates all of the sound baffling present on the stock tube for a smoother air flow.

Check it out here - Mopar Cold Air Intake
Thank you Rob. Now i know :D

We'll have a full review video coming soon! I'm very impressed with the install. The parts all seem to be very high quality and the under hood components match the look of the factory plastic intake pieces well. Once installed, the switch from low intake to the full height intake is only a matter of 4 screws.

Painting any portion or all of the snorkel pieces shouldn't be a problem at all, in fact I will be painting some of the components in the next few weeks.

Under normal conditions (basically all the time for normal driving) you want to keep the drain valve open so any water that accumulates in the filter box can drain automatically.

If you're going to be fording deep water, that's when you would close the valve to prevent any water from flowing into the airbag. Then, after crossing the water, re-open the valve.

I haven't had any issues with mine. I removed the tall inlet and swapped on the low profile one back in December. I don't remember seeing any cracking or issues when I swapped it over.

Good idea! I have been worried about this exact thing happening to mine. Ive kept the high mount up all winter and so far all is well, but the plastic it mounts there is really thin so a metal plate would be great insurance.
