So last year we purchased a custom teardrop camper. We've enjoyed it and learned a lot about these rigs. Bottom Line: It was just too small but we liked the layout of the main cabin and rear kitchen.

Today we brought home an upgrade. Still a cabin with rear kitchen but it's much wider (I'm gonna need some mirror extensions), taller and a bunch more storage with pull out trays, built in stove, sink with 10-gallon tank and a LOT more room inside. It's a 2015 True North Adventurer 15D.

It needs a few minor repairs, and this one has electric brakes, so I am going to need a brake controller. After those tasks are completed, we are headed to the White Mountains in NE Arizona for a week.

As for now, the JT pulls it fine although it can get a bit slow on the hills. I just move the shifter into manual mode, set it in 8th gear with cruise control on and if I need a bit more power I just shift down to 7th and motor on.

As you can see there is a bit of sag in the back, but it didn't hinder the JT's performance or steering at all while towing it home which was about a 55-mile ride. Once I put the rest of our recreating gear in the bed we'll see if I need to do something with the springs or maybe some load leveling air bags. I think I am going to upgrade the wheels and tires. I have 15s & taller tires on the other trailer, and I may swap them onto this trailer as what are on it are 14s. Both sets are practically brand new so that will work out just fine.

I am going to start creating my ad for the other trailer.

More to come as we do the repairs and a bit of modding to make it ours.

Any suggestions you folks have will be welcomed.

I tow a sub-compact Kubota TLB and a motorcycle on occasion so I installed the Firestone airbags in the rear to level things out. Empty I run about 10lbs of air and have gone up to 25 with the TLB & trailer.

When packing, try to shift as much weight as possible in the trailer to the rear or above the axle. Not always easy, but years of playing Tetris can really pay back dividends with this task (LOL)

Here's mine. Just from looking at your pic I'd guess mine's heavier and longer than your trailer. Yet very little sag on the Rubi stock springs.

Nice! Congratulations. I didn't want to go through all the trouble to install a brake controller in my JTR so I went with the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller - 7-Way Plug-in w/ Bluetooth App. It's awesome. I recommend that.

Is the trailer loaded for camping? Once you load out the kitchen the weight distribution might get better. Just remember to keep enough tongue weight to be safe.

I'd look into a weight distributing hitch, sway control and a RedArc brake controller.
The RedArc doesn't take hardly any time to install and it's all plug and play with the right harness adapter.

Nice looking trailer by the way. Enjoy and be safe.

Yeah, I found out about that Curt device yesterday. I placed an Amazon order last night and it was delivered today.

Gonna install it tomorrow, then give it a test and fine tune the settings. Tuesday is tire swap day for the two trailers and if all goes well, I'm gonna put up my ad to sell the smaller tear drop.

I appreciate the input from everyone!
