True, I figured the 45a figure was at high pressures on that compressor and I’m only using it up to 35psi. I also figured a 50A rating is likely conservative, with some additional buffer built in. I’ve started to order the different Anderson connectors just to get an idea of physical size. Leaning toward using the 4xe cowl door at this point, so will likely have quite a bit of room in there.

I don’t jump start too often, figure on those rare occasions I can pop the hood and use the clamp cables. I hear what you’re saying regarding short safely with the connector vs clamps, but might not be worth the extra size/work for my use scenario.

I ran power and an anderson connector to the bed of my truck. At the time, I also thought it would be handy to be able to plug my air compressor in when I wanted to.

Ended up being much and here to hardwire the compressor under the hood attached to one of the auxiliary switches. And then ran a airline from the compressor and mounted the chuck on the bumper.
Pics?

Doing a little research and Grimm has something to get you started. A little pricey but at least you have a template.

Thank you, yea I saw that too. Perfect for someone looking to do an air hook up. I was seeing the 4xe cowl for $80 and the charge door assembly for $170, so $250ish before shipping. I think that Grimm kit is $390. I’d prob have to gut either one to fit the Anderson plug, so will prob just get the bare bones setup. Although I hadn’t noticed that square cut out on the Grimm plate, going to look into it more now

I really kept it very simple. I bought the NOCO Genius 2D, 2A Direct Mount onboard battery charger from Amazon. I used heavy duty Velcro to attach it to the battery cover. A couple wire ties to drop the plug that hang at the end of fender liner.

I did this to both the 21 JTRD and 23 JTM. Still on original batteries and takes less the 3 seconds to plug in.

Trailer 7-pin is fine for trickle charging the battery (doesn't solve OP's high-current draw appliance, though).
