Another freaking front end noise thread!

At my whits end with this noise! Sounds like a large nut dangling from a string but seems to have gotten worse in cold weather. Definitely left front and can’t seem to pinpoint it on other threads. 2020 Mojave with 31k. Pretty stock except for metalcloak lower control arms and JKs disconnects. I’ve retorqued all the control arms and greased and tightened the disconnects. I also retorqued upper and lower ball joints on both sides and checked all front end bolts. Jacking from the frame neither tire/side has any play in any direction. Also with the tire off the ground it spins freely back and forth. Anyone get this clunk nailed down?

Sounds like suspension.. check spring cradles and control arms again . The track bars also as minty said have a tendency to wear out. There have been know cases of the track bars ( factory ones wearing out. ) a good way to check with out removal is by measuring offset. Or just remove track bar and check the end play in those joints.

I’m crying over here! My dealer said that it was the shackle on my winch rope. Dealer in Colorado and dealer in Florida said the same thing. They put microphones on the suspension and drove it on their own course in Colorado. Every time I drop out of my driveway into the road I hear it. I have thought that it was the boulder field on the Argentine pass road (Took the low road my first time up) The longer I follow this forum the more I think it is not from me damaging anything

What’s best way check the control arms?…I’m another one at wits end after replacing OEM drag link and tie rods and still having noise…most pronounced on hard right slow turns over uneven surfaces

id just grab a socket and open faced wrench and make sure they are right. Same with the turning and abundance of noise but for mine it’s most problematic with left turns and reverse if driving straight for a while.

Check your shock bolts. My uppers came loose in factory form enough that before I caught it, broke the backside out of the passenger side shock tower requiring me to weld it back in.. Also check the axle side track bar mounting hole. Below is how bad mine was before I fixed that too.

Ohhhh will do! Defiantly hear some squeaky shit from shocks too but I know the design is a bit different. Quite a bit of cupping on the tires too wondering if this is all related. I purchased in April with 28k miles so it’s not neglect on my part. Guess the wildpeaks are known for it.
