I scored some slick AEV wheels and want to put AT's on them and just keep my MT set with the trashed wheels for well, wheeling. I had Faulken AT's but they got so loud on the highway after 15-20kk miles. My general experience is that aggressive tread tires get louder as they wear. Anyone find ones that haven't? Looking at Toyo ATs.

I like my Goodyear Duratracs. There are 2 types, one that looks like a regular truck AT and a more aggressive off road AT. I have the more aggressive tread and have not noticed the noise.

The key to keeping your tires running quit is to cross rotate X.
I have been doing this for at least 50 years and have put as much as 80k on a set of tires running quit.
Two ways to know if it is time to cross rotate.
1. Run your hand over the outside edge of the tire. If you feel them starting to chock up time to cross rotate.
2. If you start to hear them making a slit noise. Time to cross rotate.
People resist what I tell them about cross rotating put over the past 50 years all my cars and trucks I have put 300k to 400k miles on each vehicle and never had a set of noisy tires.
