I've been on the fence about selling my '23 with 11k miles. It's not a daily driver for me anymore and really only gets out for overland trips or snow situations. I understand new Gladiators are basically being given away currently and I'm not trying to come out financially a winner on this after only 3 years of ownership. But now that warranty is expired and gas prices are high again (no politics), I'm thinking it may be time to move it.

It's been a couple years since they discontinued the option, so any idea if stick shift/manual will have any sort of collectible appeal in 5+ years? Obviously no one knows the answer, but what's speculation say?

I'm seeing a small increase in interest for manuals with the younger crowd, but I seriously doubt you'll see anything resembling "collectible" status for a JT with one any time in the near future... after several decades, maybe, but in five years absolutely not in my opinion.

My grandson had a 2011 JK with manual
when he was in high school
and bragged that it was unlikely
to be stolen by a classmate
because none of them
knew how to drive a stick.

He was proud that he could.

As to future value
in my opinion
the rarity will be exceeded
by a lack of motivated operators.

Furthermore, it is my understanding
that serious off-roaders, rock crawlers,
where old jeeps go to die,
prefer an automatic.

But you only need one
hide-bound manual enthusiast to buy it.
