What the 392 has is the same awd, they just don't give it a 2hi mode, for safety reasons. The system is the same. It's still selec trac. The 392 still has 4auto, 4hi, 4lo on the same lever. They just didn't give it 2hi, I guess because they're worried everyone will flip their jeep doing 2wd donuts. 4 auto in the 392 is the same as 4 auto on a selec trac jeep.

Yes, a USB cable is required. The current Uconnect system does not have built-in support for wireless Android Auto.
Disappointing to hear. At this price point in a 2022 vehicle seems like a big miss... when even, as an example, the 2021 Kia Rio under $20k has this.

Thanks for your help.

I wonder if the gladiator will even be a thing in a couple more years with the new 40mpg thing happening and all.

That's just the corporate average, so yes. As long as people keep buying compasses, Cherokees, fiats, and 4xe's. That's a CAFE standard. Doesn't mean all cars will meet it. They won't. They just need to sell enough small cars to make up for it. And, likely a 4xe version will have to come out to offset it a little.

Thought I had read something earlier this week that said it was the standard for all new vehicles. Can't find anything from the EPA though on it.

If Jeep was at a point with their hybrids where Toyota is now, I'd get one in a second.

More power, great fuel economy. Toyota's been building hybrids since 1997!! The bugs are all worked out. FCA has been building hybrids for about 3 years. And we're still on the V1.0 that came out then.

People have to be able to afford to drive and travel. There will be gas available for them at a price they can afford. There will be more EV's for those that want them so they can save the planet. When I can go 250 miles off road without a re charge, maybe I'll do it. There is still lots of things that can be done to the ICE to make it better.

I gave a 2020 Gladiator overland I can use my android auto wirelessly but I choose not to because I use Waze and it isn't supported wirelessly
