I had free in-vehicle wi-fi from AT&T for 6 months after buying the JT, and I liked having it so much that I bought a year. That was in March 2022. About 6 weeks ago, it stopped working, and all I get are "connected, no internet" messages. After finally getting in touch with the correct person at AT&T, they inform me that there is an issue with the Jeeps and that Wi-Fi isn't working in many of them right now. They said that there may be a dealership update that fixes this issue. Has anybody else heard this? I contacted a guy at the dealership, and he hasn't heard anything about it.

There have been other threads on this. For many, a radio reboot got it working again. Others have reported that AT&T has stopped selling the Wi-Fi option until a fix is available.

My wife has complained about no internet at times so I mentioned not renewing this year? She blew a head gasket.......I don't use it, so I wouldn't know if it works or not? Surely don't want to pay again if it doesn't work!

So, how do you reboot the radio? Or, does the dealershp have to do it?

This spring AT&T started phasing out 3g services and many car data services were via AT&T. Some car builders had anticipated this and built cars with 3g & 4g/LTE combined or upgradable to something other than 3g. My Panamera unfortunately has a 3g only PCM (media/control display) and in July I lost my hotspot. My wife’s Audi which is only slightly newer than the P4S is fine. The Gladiator did not come with Uconnect and I have been told it can not be retrofitted. I didn’t notice anything here about the AT&T shutdown of 3g and assumed it didn’t effect anyone, maybe it does but Jeep is behind the 8 ball…

When the Uconnect 8.4 is rebooted, it can take up to 24 hours to return to normal operation.

There is a fuse (F97?) that will usually do it. Disconnecting both batteries will do a full system reboot. There is supposed to be a button sequence from the front panel that I read about in one of the threads. I don't remember what it is.

Just be aware if you disconnect both batteries your truck may act strange for a day. Things like your HVAC not working correctly or your backup camera not being there. Just weird electrical things.

My wifi is 4G LTE, and she confirmed that for me when I talked to AT&T.

Mine says 4G right on the screen. Tested it out on the way home last night and it works fine. I was wondering IF the times we have issues is because of some 2nd party contract issue with the tower?

I mainly bought it as an alternative to our Verizon.....when one doesn't work, the other usually does.

I posted the TSB in another thread where there's also info stating that there's a problem with AT&T supporting the Panasonic hardware. It's being worked on and it's not related to Jeep or a Jeep issue - it's an AT&T issue with the hardware. Ironic because Panasonic hardware is not a mom and pop player in cell.

I wonder if it's related to the big race and rush to jump all over 5G............ (which sucks because it means a lot of rural people will be left in the dust)

Frankly, I'd likely never use the truck as a hot spot because modern phones are quite good at that but it's a personal choice and varies with needs and circumstances.
