I picked up a set of these for $20 about a year ago.

My wife has these , I scrap my shins on them , bump my knees on them , and get them dirty with my foot when I swing out to get out the vehicle. I would never have them.

I use one of these cheap plastic things that swivels into two up holders. Once you pad and tape the bottom section so it fits firmly in the Jeep cupholder it works quite well.

Oddly enough the Germans (like others) strongly believed that lighting cigars and cigarettes (and smoking and de-ashing them) while driving was perfectly ok. My first BMW had no cup holders but did have four four ashtrays and a cigar/cigarette lighter.
Certainly. But at that time according to 3 out of 5 doctors, smoking wasn't that bad for you. But coffee? No sir! That caffeine is awful stuff. 5 out of 7 doctors recommend switching to Sanka.

Besides, in spirited driving, would want your your cafe au lait go flying across the car? I think not!

2 up front, 2 in the back which can easily be reached from the driver seat (unless you have T-Rex arms)...how thirsty are you? ;) For red-rider, I also have a manual and don't have an issue with the front cup holder with my 32 oz Yeti as long as I don't wrap my finger around the shifter; however it is close in 2 and 4...and 6 the rare times it is used. You could short-shift 3 to 5 but 1 to 3 is not really an option.

I actually end up using the rear cup holders sometimes. When I shift it hit the water bottle and move it but it won’t empede the gear change. It’s more of a nuance when traveling and navigator commandeers the preferred slot lol.

Zee Germans believed for the longest time that you must focus on the road and not be distracted by trying to drink something. Can you imagine how mortified the brass at Daimler were when they realized the Grand Caravan had 36 cupholders? Probably why they spun Chrysler off.

My first BMW didn't have cupholders... Pretty sure it didn't have blinkers, either.

I'm pretty sure the current BMW models either don't come with blinkers or it's an add-on that no one orders.
