DIY, Rubicon or Mojave take off? It's all cool. You are doing it for you, and if that is satisfying... go for it.

Yeah do what you want to make it the way you want it. One thing I’ve figured out about Jeeps is that there are no rules we have to follow but our own. Some here would disagree with that statement, but just look at all the Jeeps around in real life - they couldn’t care less about what we think here.
What it comes down to is what you want, where it falls in your priority list, and what you have the budget for. And please post pictures if you do it.

I have figured out how to add rubicon vents to stock sport hood and they will be functional to reduce heat during heavier towing. I will be able to have open, partially open and fully closed.

Hope to do this soon.

Given that numerous companies make vents and louver panels, this shouldn't be a huge chore. I have often enjoyed periods of deeply depressed air flow and can even magically induce a reverse airflow with the snowplow so I am always sniffing around for ways to shed heat. Right now I feel like the ultimate solution would be to acquire a salvage hood and use it to build something akin to the new fad of using a second fender for a widebody kit. In my case the idea would be to have a huge headspace that is draft cooled based on the high pressure at the windshield base. But I digress...

You can add all the scoops and louvers you want, it's your rig.

Do it.. I have added so many cat back exhaust and intakes I can't count them. They do not add 00.01 improvement, I just like to play with my trucks. Do what ever you want to your truck !!! Enjoy it your way.

I added genright louvers, the thin strips, to both of my last Jeeps. I liked them, but I don't think I'll be doing it on my gladiator. Cutting into the hood didn't bother me, but getting a clean cut on the insulation was a challenge. Made the engine bay look all hacked up.

Just add some flame stickers on the side of the truck, it'll make it faster AND look cool.

I feel like it involves an hvac register with a slide.

I haven’t done this yet. I will do one though when I add them.
