Have you noticed that none of the muffler companies show the audio from inside the vehicle cab.Hi, anyone out there delete the muffler and rear resonator? I see a couple axle back options but the only sound clip is really hard to tell what it’s like.

Do you remember the length of the J pipe?I removed the front muffler and resonator and replaced it with a Magnaflow muffler. The rear resonator was left in place. It was exactly what I was looking for other than a drone around 2100 to 2200 rpm. I had the muffler shop install a J-pipe and that killed the drone. It's perfect now. Not too loud, mellow and I can actually hear it now as opposed to the absolute silence of the stock exhaust.

I don't expect the truck cab will drone anything like a car or SUV. The resonant frequency is going to be by the bed and not echo around the cabin so much.Have you noticed that none of the muffler companies show the audio from inside the vehicle cab.
Every discussion on exhaust systems people ask "does it drone inside the vehicle", but none of the manufacturers actually show you this. Are they afraid? The only one I have seen address it is Borla. They simply state there is no drone at any RPM or speed, but all their sound clips are still external. Ok, so let me hear the audio from inside the cab.
This guy also towed a modern charger on a car trailer - probably close to 6500LBs - for a couple hundred miles with the 6MT. Was a pretty good video and confirmed my personal experience which is - you can do it. Maybe not every day all day - but you can do it. I like his channel. This guy cut out both mufflers with a reciprocating saw and then clamped on his resonator with a $15 part. Sounds pretty good for $15. Not the prettiest thing though.
We have horrible drone issues in these things.I don't expect the truck cab will drone anything like a car or SUV. The resonant frequency is going to be by the bed and not echo around the cabin so much.
