Like the look of a little dish to a wheel as well as a little outside the fender. At the same time, for practical (and legal) reasons I didn’t want to go crazy with it. After hours on the calculators I came up with a 9” wheel with 12.5 tires and a +12 which gave me a near identical back space. Because of the wider rim and tire, it will still stick out a little.

Problem is: almost all my image searches here, custom offsets, trailbuilt, extreme terrain and any other show what seems as the MAJORITY with 0 to typically minus 6 up to maybe -12. Then there are outliers at -24 to -44. Now I’m second guessing my purchase (which hasn’t arrived yet.) I prefer the look of the negative offset (to a certain extent) but don’t want to get crazy outside the fender. Anyone have any pics for comparison of positive offset wheels? They seem to be few and far between.

I think the +12 at 9" wheel is going to give you exactly what you want. I didn't want Poke and went AEV +25 8.5" wheel. It will look very close to stock. (that's with Rubicon which i believe has a bit wider axle). I don't have them installed yet so no picks sorry.

Search for AEV Savegre IIs or some of AEV’s other wheels, they are +25

Thank you. It’s surprising how few images you can find of positive offset setups. I’ve probably seen hundreds in trying to pick a wheel and have come across a small handful at best that wasn’t negative offset.

In addition to the AEV +25 wheels, they also have some which are spec'd for the JK at +4. Quadratec also has a bunch of their own brand wheels which are +12 (which is what I'm running for now).

These are +12? If so, this is a great looking setup.

as long as your control arms have a clearance bend like the stock ones do.
These are great pics and helpful, thanks. I’m running stock LCA’s now but the new mopar ones from their 2” lift should be sitting at my house when I return from traveling. While they aren’t necessary with my 2” lift, I’ve heard nothing but positive from swapping the factory out after even a modest lift.

The Mopar 2” lift arms are a great low-cost zero-maintenance option when you don’t need an adjustable control arm.

Agreed. Excellent for the mission I need them for, and quite a bit of savings over AEV geo correction brackets.

Which 2” lift did you choose? I installed the AEV 2” lift on a friend’s Gladiator a few weeks ago along with the Mopar arms. It rides like stock and meets his use needs perfectly.

Exactly what I did. I own a fully modded 73’ CJ for heavy off-road. This Jeep is my daily driver and needs to traverse 2 miles of very rugged Maine logging road to get into camp….and it would have handled that bone stock. AEV 2” spacer works well, but my front rake is very noticeable. Now on the fence of what to do next, but the plan to maintain my ride and not pull the AEV is to source some rubicon steel bumper front springs which should give me an inch.
