Ah interesting. I just got my Jeep in September and am relatively new to the off-road scene. I got the amber grille lights from them which have been solid so far. Hood Locks which also are good so far. Just got the door hinge steps. I’ll post any updates should things change. I like to support these relatively small guys and I’m glad they were honest and admitted things are due for a refresh due to issues with current gen.
Absolutly. Good on them for that. There are so many companies that refuse to do that now and just site Covid followed with "there is nothing we can do". Glad to hear positive things about them. I appreciate your response on this ?

Well sure enough, one of the three amber grille lights flickers on start up and then goes out. I emailed DV8 and they got back within an hour and said they had heard of one other case like mine and are happy to send me a replacement. They sent it in the mail today.

Maybe it’s just a lemon piece but I gotta say, the customer support was pretty f***ing amazing. Good to know as I plan to order inner fender flares and doors from them in the coming months.

Update: they sent me six replacement diodes. The $50 order has 3. At first I thought how great but I'm wondering if there's an expectation the lights may go out so they gave me some extras.

I ended up getting the DV8 and haven’t had any issues yet (knock on wood). I am surprised to see this view of DV8 as everything I’ve read about them elsewhere is that they’re a solid brand.

That said, I have seen recently some people having issues with bumper alignment. I reached out to DV8 on this and they acknowledged some issues and that they’re refreshing some bumpers (such as fs-25) in the coming months for better fitment.
how you liking them a month in? Can you unscrew the center coupling nut while it’s locked in place?

More than a month. had them in September with no cover Through rain and snow. No rust issues. They still look mean.

You can’t unscrew while it’s locked but you can twist the little screws to loosen it a bit. Not much nor do I know why you’d want to do it (unless you got some aftermarket hood that is thicker or something).

Might of been a dumb question, but I was just making sure it’s not like a regular turnbuckle you can tighten and loosen. I’m thinking you have to set the correct length then lock the pin in place right? Debating on these vs the Rugged Ridge.

I would wait for a sale or call dv8 directly an ask if you can get 10% off or something. I think they’re worth it. Their CS is pretty solid so if you decide to go with them.

They are just a turn buckle, but it will take you at least 5 minutes per side to fully unscrew them and you then have to cut the little cable leash. All easy to do but it just become more work then most want to put into theft.

in my book all these hood pins are about as secure as a hood latch, takes the same time to break a window and pull a release.
