If the 35s will fit, I think I’ll swap out at time of purchase. I plan on putting 37 or 40s but would like to drive the 35s for a year while I get it together. Don’t want the mopar lift. If the 35s fit out the door, not worth trying to sell the 33s, prob best to work something with dealer if possible.

If I wanted to do that will the dealer give anything for the stock tires? If not how much can I expect to sell them for?
That’s something you’d have to negotiate with the dealer. A shady dealer will sell you the new rubber at MSRP, in addition to your new Jeep purchase and then quietly push the stock tires into a dark corner until you drive away so they can put them on a trade-in or something. If the dealer doesn’t suggest a trade value on your stock tires or let you know you can keep them, I’d simply move on to a different dealer.

35’s are supposed to fit on a Rubicon...but I’d make sure you get good value on the stock 33’s. Those will fit a JK or a lifted Grand Cherokee, so they’ll have a strong price in a local Jeep group...AND YOU NOW WILL HAVE A TRUCK to toss them in the bed of. Since mud tires are a zero cost option on the Rubi, I selected those just because I expect greater demand.

I plan on keeping the 33s and storing them.
The LE wheels are limited and will assist on trade/resale, especially if unlifted.
I'll pull the 35s to put on the Gator Diesel in a couple of years.:like:

Does anyone have concerns with running 37" and not adding gussets or having to upgrade anything other than suspension due to the weight of the larger tires? I thought I heard one time that anything over 35's would start breaking stuff if you were to really apply the torque in a crawl situation.

I was initially planning on going to 37"s and then decided against it because it does add additional stress on the suspension, axles and the sway bars, not just due to the additional weight of the tires but also the raised center of gravity. Actually, on YT there is a video in "TrailRecon" channel that talks about what you need to upgrade for the 37"s, You should definitely check that out. For me, those expenses right off the bat weren't justified and I plan to customize my gladiator in other ways with personalized decals, lights, winch, cb/ham radio, dual battery kit, spod, etc - so I decided to get 17" Black Rhino Armory wheels with 35" Duratracs ATs... altho I am still on the fence between Duratracs and Milestar Patagonias...

EVO said they would gusset for 37+, but they've got all the fab stuff ready to go, so no brainer.

anybody know the overall height of the sport S tire vs the stock rubicon jt tire? Read on another thread it was only like 0.25"
Okay, thoughts? I thought rubicon was supposed to have 33", these are 32.7". Do they just round up?

Hey @pilotpat, if the dealer puts on 35" do they charge you less and keep the 33", or do you just have a set of 33" as spare?

Might know a sport s owner that'll buy them off you.
I've done this before. Typically, they will give you credit for the stock tires and put that credit towards the purchase/install of the 35 inch tires. If not, you pay for the 35s/install and then keep your stock tires and sell them privately.

Yes, I would like to work with the dealer on swapping out 33's for 35's and would prefer the Milestars.

Yeah, they basically round the numbers up to 33 as no one outside of us jeep nuts would equate 285's to being 33's. That being said, every manufacturers 285, 315, 35", 37" etc. will measure a bit different. Most 285's run closer to 32", most 35's run closer to 33.5" and 37's between 35-36 or so. Some brands are worse than others..
