In Franklin TN a dealer is charging 5K over MSRP for Market adjustment. I think they can do that If they want, but I will not buy from them. I had to swallow hard just to order my LE at MSRP
Franklin's got too many rich (I mean affluent) people. Of course Memphis' dealers suck balls and are gouging and not budging.

just head west on I40 and buy one for 5 percent below invoice at Superior Jeep in Conway Ar. Get your tread lightly in order. Some dealerships just won’t deal and some will.

Never could get them to email me back, I ordered out of ATL so it's a little farther but got an extra 1%.

Last time I bought a hot car was 20 years ago - my Honda s2000. Average markup was 10k on a 32k vehicle. I managed to find one that was exactly what I wanted (since there were only dealer-installed accessories as options outside of interior/exterior color). I went with a friend and we asked what the price was - "36k out the door."

We agree to the deal, go into the finance manager to sign the paperwork and they changed it to 36k base price. After "refocusing" them I walked out and paid about $800 over sticker. However, over the 20 years I've had it, that amounts to $40/year. I'm cool with it.

Does this count as discouragement

I find it hilarious the California based sticker says "Protecting the Consumer" followed rather quickly by a $10,000 markUP and $thirteen thousand dollars for a simple wheels and lift upgrade.

Me & wife bought her a hot item Honda mini van in 2001 about the time kiddos were born and paid sticker. She drove it for 14 years and it needed almost nothing the entire time, and we sold it for asking price when still running strong at 103k miles. Never again sticker price, but she deserved it.

Went to a local dealership with my specs to order a Rubicon. They told me that they were not able to order a Rubicon at this time. I asked them to clarify if the restriction was for allocation order or customer sold order. They said for both. Jeep is not building Rubicons at this time. I dont believe them. Why would they not want to take my order for a custom build?

Some dealerships are asses and would rather not custom order because they get less money. They would rather you buy off the lot and Rob you blind. Go to another dealership that values what the customer wants

Ya, I figured as much. I am working with other dealerships and got an initial offer of 2% off. I am waiting to hear an offer on my 2013 JKU trade then I will see if they will go 3% under.

Is that MSRP or Invoice. I've routinely 9% off invoice sales here on the forum.

2% off invoice. That was the initial offer so I expect to do better.

Local dealership located near 2 major shopping malls had this overland for sale. They say their mall crawlers sell the best, they hardly sell any stock JTs. Relatively wealthy part of town.

Pricing aside, I think that looks good!
