It was several years ago when a now failed airline had won the award. I had to scrape the old JD Power decals off because of the rigged award being given to our competitor. It was a big deal then but even I can't find any mention of it.A quick search and I could not find an article about bribery. However, I do believe these reports are highly subjective and prone to "opinion journalism". I like to think I'm a leader and not a follower so I rarely put too much faith in, what can only be described as, Bipolar reviews. For all its strengths and weaknesses I LOVE my JT!

Hey ShadowsPapa, I did find a few articles on your favorite Youtuber bashing JDPowers in the auto industry. You know the guy, with the sunglasses?
Scotty!
I guess that paint thinner bit really works. You mean this gem of YouTube?

Effect and cause as it were.Yeah, the guy who says our transmissions are made in Austria.

I had a Mini Cooper once (BMW). It wasn't bad, but it at 250k miles I was afraid of having to service or replace the supercharger was going to cost more than the value of the car. I worked on a few BMW's in the past. Not horrible.Effect and cause as it were.
Kilmer believes all BMWs are money pits. He's not wrong, ask me how I know- but modern Toyotas aren't exactly the paragon of virtue he thinks they are anymore either.
A friend has a '25 Tundra that ate its motor in under 5k miles last week. Compound that with the dealer giving him the run around on replacement. (short vs long block) Same dealer screwed me on the Toyota frame rot recall.
That might be the case…. especially if they’re OLDER. Not only that, but a standard repair on a BMW costs 3x (or more) than the same repair on a Toyota or Jeep (for example).Kilmer believes all BMWs are money pits.
I find "I" am the most qualified to give a review of "MY" driving experience with "MY" JT. A point most of us would agree with. She's not the most beautiful girl on the road but she's MINE and I love her for all her faults. It was several years ago when a now failed airline had won the award.
