I get the same stuff. Rain X helps, so does just getting in the habit of washing them every time ya get gas. Only issue is if it's 20 out the water's frozen or not set out at the gas stations.

Rain-X is always a good route to take. I coat my windshield and front side windows.

but that won't keep your window clean 100. Only sure fire way is carry a can of Sprayaway glass cleaner and a small squeegee under your seat and clean the window when it gets nasty or next stop.

Yes, RainX is a good solution for maintaining side view mirror visibility in winter road conditions. RainX is a hydrophobic coating that can be applied to glass surfaces, including side view mirrors, to repel water, snow, and ice, making it easier to see through them.
To use RainX on your side view mirrors, follow these steps:
  1. Clean your mirrors thoroughly with glass cleaner and a microfiber towel to remove any dirt, grime, or residue.
  2. Apply RainX according to the instructions on the bottle. Usually, you will need to apply it to the mirror and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a clean, dry cloth.
  3. Repeat the process every few weeks or as needed to maintain the hydrophobic coating on your mirrors.
Using RainX on your side view mirrors can make a significant difference in your visibility during winter driving conditions, helping you stay safe on the road.

In addition to RainX, here are a few other suggestions to help maintain side view mirror visibility in winter road conditions:

  1. Adjust the angle of your mirrors: Adjusting the angle of your side view mirrors can help to reduce the amount of snow and ice that accumulates on them. Aim them slightly downwards so that the lower portion of the mirror is more exposed, which will help to prevent snow and ice buildup.
  2. Use a defrosting spray: There are sprays available that are specifically designed to help defrost and de-ice your car's windows and mirrors. These sprays can be effective in quickly melting ice and snow off your side view mirrors, improving visibility.
  3. Install mirror covers: Installing mirror covers can be an effective way to prevent snow and ice buildup on your side view mirrors. Covers made of waterproof, insulated material can be easily attached to your mirrors with elastic or Velcro straps and can be removed when not needed.
  4. Use heated mirrors: Many modern cars are equipped with heated side view mirrors that can quickly melt snow and ice, improving visibility. If your car doesn't have heated mirrors, you may be able to install aftermarket heated mirror kits.
By using a combination of these solutions, you can help to maintain clear visibility through your side view mirrors in even the most challenging winter driving conditions.

We use Sonax Extreme diluted for -30C (like -20 F i think)
You could try a coating like rain x. Should help that residue moves on rather than pool there.
Another attempt I would try is, just need to make sure that the shield goes far enough down.

We have these on my wife's JK and it reduced the dirt by about 75%. My Glad is horrible for this issue, I have mud flaps and no poke tires.
