AOAA new Badge of Honor trails November 11, 2023 at 9 AM

We parked for a moment to scout the lines through part of Fern Ridge Trail and there was a giant boulder in front of John. We joked with John about climbing this rock, so he did it. Actually walked right up it pretty easily. JTRD rockin it. ?

That’s just that moment when you’re spotting and super focused on getting the right wheel on the right rock, then you realize you better get yourself off that same rock!

My buddy I ran Peter Mills with, were looking to hit the BOH trails at Rausch Creek the first weekend of December if anyone is interested.

I will post up a thread when we hash out the actual date/!

It was great meeting everyone yesterday. I would have faired better if I would have run the trails two days in a row. Hitting the badge trails on Friday was uneventful. Yesterday, I ended up high centered twice and had to be winched off a rock in a creekbed. I also lost the battle with the tight trails.

I did end up with the score of the week. I was talking to one of the workers at AOAA on Friday who owns a Gladiator. He mentioned he took off "heavyduty stock rock rails" and installed sliders. He said they were in his scrap pile. This morning he came to the campground with this set of scratch free performance rock rails. Asking price - Free. So stoked. I have been looking for a set for two years at a reasonable price.

Depending on schedule, I might be up for a beach camp out. I haven't really camped in years, but you might be surprised how much food I can fit into a relatively small box
