Put this in the other thread too, but guess it really belongs here -

Find the FAQ labeled -

HOW DO I MODIFY THE JEEP ELECTRIC POWER STEERING PUMP (JL/JT)?

Step 1: Get a 7mm Allen head wrench.

Step 2: Locate the electric plug ins on the bottom of the Power Steering Pump.

Step 3: Locate the Bypass Piston/Pressure regulator Piston. (THIS WILL HAVE A GREEN INDICATOR MARK ON THE BYPASS PISTON.)

Step 4: Turn the piston clockwise all the way in. Then turn back out counter clockwise Âľ Turn.

There you have it. You have just in crease the pressure and flow coming out of the Electric Power Steering Pump.

We still do not think it is necessary to operate with a cooler with this mod. We would rather you be safe than sorry.

As for coolers, running an inline transmission cooler purchased from a parts store. We use O’Reilly Auto Parts part#402 made by Hayden.

Video link is still broken, but they have the basic idea behind it written out in steps.

FYI Half the steps you don't need to do. I was able to remove the one screw behind the grill with out taking everything apart. No reason to remove the bumper as there is plenty of room. You actually do not need remove the pump, the air box bracket you need to cut is removed with 4 screws. There is enough movement in the fender liner to do everything you need without removing them either. The plunger for the flow screw/spring stays in place with a touch of grease. I lost maybe 1/4 quart of fluid.
If you’re doing something with the air box bracket, I assume this is on the gasser? I’m doing this on the diesel, but I’ve actually read that this requires even less modification. I do have to possibly pull out the fuse box if I go in from the top but I’ve got removable fender flares so I think the pump is right there. I was going to pull the bumper and grill to make things easier for the cooler if and only if I’m also doing some other front end mods at the same time, I.e the grill replacement.

Yeah gasser, i wanted a deisel but not a good fit for me. The JT is a in town and off road replacement for my Ram 3500. Sounds like you have a plan. The cooler mounts below the radiator on the core support. The older videos show it spaning right behind the bumper but not true.
