I currently have a Viair 10007 constant duty compressor with 2.5gall tank. I have this left over from my last F150. My question is should I figure out how/where to mount all that equipment or swallow the pill and buy a smaller unit like ARB dual? I saw Maximus makes a cradle to mount under JT but it isn’t cheap and I imagine it isn’t light. Decisions, decisions….

I would use what I had if I already had a Viair system that works. You will have to decide if the space savings is worth the money! I mounted an ARB in a case so I could take it in either Jeep, but I replaced a CO2 tank.

Viair 10007 looks to be a kit containing a 450C compressor:
https://www.viaircorp.com/oba/oba-constant
https://www.viaircorp.com/c-models/450c-compressor

Which is more than adequate for filling Jeep size tires directly. I don't think you'd need the 2.5 gal tank or most of the accessories in that kit, just wire it up to the hard-mount location of your choice. Looks smaller than an ARB twin to me.

I built my own under-seat mount for the baby brother of your compressor (300P) here. You could do the same, or pick up any of a number of pre-made mounting kits.

That’s a good point. I had it mounted on my F150 for filling my 35’s. It could definitely be overkill

I mean, my wimpy 300P that I originally got for skinny 31s on my last truck is way underkill for my Jeep 37s, but it just keeps not breaking... if/when it does fail I'd likely get a larger Viair and put it right where my 300P is now. Nothing wrong with overkill, especially when the money's already spent.

Here's a bunch of mounting ideas to think about: https://www.813fabrication.com/jeep-arb-viair-compressor-mounts

Thanks for help guys. I’ve been on several forums over the years, Toyota, Ford, and this is the most helpful group I’ve encountered.

I added the ViAir 10007 system to my JTRD recently. I purchased the 813 Fabrication bracket for a behind the seat mount, then decided to mount everything in the bed to a Body Armor Front Molle Panel. I still utilized the 813 Fab mount, just on the molle panel outside vs. inside. Here is a photo of the panel and tank before the compressor was mounted. This keeps everything accessible as I also bed mounted my spare to gain more clearance on the rear of the Jeep when I installed the Evo High N Tight Bumper.

I just ordered the 813 Fab extension panel for above the wheel well. Going to mount up my Viair there. Gonna check out that bracket you mentioned.

What size tires are you filling, and how often are you filling them?

I had this set up left over from my f150 so going to reinstall in my JT. Had 35’s on tbe Ford and will eventually do 37’s on JT. I air down pretty much every time I leave the pavement when I camp. I was able to air all 4 tires at once with the MORRflate system in about 5 minutes.

I have 37x12.50x17s that I fill. It currently takes about 3 minutes to fill the tank and about 4 minutes per tire individually. I will make a hose set that will fill all four at one time (have all the tubing and connectors but didn't get finished before KOH this year). I will likely order a second 450C compressor to cut times in half. The 10007 kit I installed was a couple years old from a Raptor project I planned but never installed. I only fill these after airing up after offloading, not more than once a month.

5 minutes is pretty impressive… the only reason I ask is we ditched our Dual arb in favor of CO2 for the sake of time. 10-12psi to 34psi was taking almost 20 minutes. CO2 took the same job and dropped it to a couple minutes.
Drop down pressure to road pressure varies by rig and conditions. If your compressor setup is able to perform the task in 5 minutes, that’s awesome, change over to co2 doesn’t seem worth the squeeze….

Having the 4-way hose set up is pretty crucial for time savings and the 2 gallon tank with constant duty compressor eliminates any lag time

Yeah, people don’t get that. Only so much air, CFM, can exit the discharge piping/hosing on you Compressor. It doesn’t matter if there are 4 of the same size hoses going to each tire; only so much CFM can go down that discharge line….
