I have only seen a couple brands that cover the exhaust, and those are the most heavy / expensive belly pans.

Some what late, I've got the Asfir full skids. It wasn't a bad installation, and the company was on point. They caught the missing parts not shipped before I knew about it. They contacted me to let me know and shipped the parts. Now a negative on having the full skid plates. The transmission/ transfer case shield holds heat from the exhaust in. I've had that part off for several months now. . . Removed to do transmission filter and fluid changes. Still need to do another fluid change before I reinstall it.
Uff... I just read 4th page, I got mine when first out and believe I got the military discount even then. I'd have to look up the thread I started in 2020.

I was going to but with the Labor Day sale the new skids were the same cost as the open box ones.

For sure!

That's one thing I like about this Asfir piece - it is vented below the trans and exhaust. A reasonable boost in protection but still allowing for good air flow (and mud won't sit in it, either).

Slightly off topic but it came to mind: A few years back getting the LJ towed after my accident the tow truck driver showed up and told me that I forgot to shut off my car alarm so it took a bit. I looked confused because it’s a topless LJ, there was no car alarm. He pulled up a picture of a rattle snake on the ground behind my Jeep. Evidently a rattler crawled up into my skid plate and got dumped out when he lifted the vehicle.
