It'll be a real shame if its priced that high, as much as I love it its still just a dual cab ute at the end of the day and entering the huge dual cab Aus market at that price point is hard to fathom...
Unfortunate it matches the us conversion based in jk costs, matches the numbers put out by the journos and confirmed in approximation by a couple of salesman today....

It’s starting to p!ss me off that a lot of dealers are saying “we don’t know pricing yet”... when they do know the general windows within a grand or two....
It’s like they know they are about to cop it across social media for crazy price structure

So I sat in the LHD pre launch world tour vehicles, overland and rubicon.... as much as I was willing myself to love it... I just couldn’t and I’ll admit 99% of that is sticker price. It’s cool, it’s capable it’s over and above the top end price of anything on the market here.... rough coin is 70+ overland, 80+ rubicon and 90+ LE. I can buy a high end competitor vehicle add $20k of mods and still be under Jeep sticker....
I’m gutted...
How many Gladiators did they have to look at?
They're in Cairns next couple of days before working down the coast, will go down Wednesday to have a look.

Looks like too expensive, and won't compete with the twin cabs without a diesel and less than 3 tonne tow......

I think we're seeing the demise of Jeep in Oz. Don't get me wrong, I love the brand, I've had 6 jeeps all up. But they only sold 6000 australia wide in 2019. Not in any way sustainable...... they needed the Gladiator to be a smash hit and I was excited about it.
Now I'm just disappointed and I'll buy a 79 Series twin cab.

When I asked the Jeep dealer in Cairns a couple of months ago how many JL's they'd sold he just said oh yeah quite a few, told him I hadn't seen a single one on the road and was waiting for the Gladiator anyway and he just gave me a blank look, had no idea.

Technically they had 4
In showroom they had an overland and a rubicon... they also had the same to display at local shopping centre

If they had have come in below a raptor then they would have gone close to a win... but the specs v cost don’t match line for line with competitors.... it’s a worry.... I’ve always wanted a Jeep and I drive a dc Ute... I am the exact target market and it’s looking like a miss!

Did you recieve similar information/news?
I have only what I have read here ... but I am in total agreement with it and suspect it all to be right!

I spoke to the Sales Manager at Blacktown Jeep last year and he said the Gladiator was going to be $90k! So i guess that is inline with the predictions above for the LE ... $89,999.95! :)
It is ballpark to the Raptor ($83,xxx drive away).

I am going to wait and see what happens ... even though I wanted one very badly, my name is #1 on the list at Blacktown Jeep, I am not going to pay silly money. I will wait 18 months to two years and pick up a nice 2nd hand one! Or six months and get a heavily discounted one because they are not selling!

My initial thought is wait until Jan 2021 and then it is a last year plate sale...so technically should be $5K cheaper straight up...

Chiasmus! You all sound like we did during our "launch". The jeep which once offered a model called "Universal" now openly targets the thinnest slice, the disposable income crowd, with this rich niche marketing approach, and is pulling it off! Jeep as a status symbol?! I believe them when they say they will be electric soon enough. After that? Self driving Jeep's. Why not...?
