As FCA says - CHARGE and reset the IBS by disconnecting the network connector and removing it from the battery and cables. They say it only takes 20 seconds, I say longer "to be sure/safe".

Well, what do you know - one of my other FCA tech docs says 30 seconds LOL - maybe they realized 20 wasn't always enough...........

Remember, he's the guy who said 1 extra quart increased pressure in the crankcase, and that oil is oil and never breaks down.

I have been in the automotive electric repair and sales trade for probably longer than you have been alive. Yes, you DO charge new batteries. They lose charge just sitting and you can look that up. It's what I did for a living for many years, starting in the 1970s and yes, we always charged new batteries. I'll find the FCA documents on it since you don't believe a person with over 50 years experience in batteries and vehicle charging systems.
