Mine started not long after I bought my 2020 Gladiator Overland North Edition used with about 9k miles on it (July 2021). Driving along, life is good, enjoying the Gladiator and then a chime goes off and a warning light for the autostop goes on. After stopping and turning the Jeep off, the light disappeared and was not an issue again for a couple weeks. Then the same thing happened. I solved the problem by turning the truck off and then turning it back on and the light was gone. It did not come back again for a few more weeks. Then it happened a third time. At that I took it to the dealership and they determined that it was maybe the secondary and primary batteries being bad (they said a common issue with Gladiators). Problem fixed.... NOT so much. The issue continued to plague me for the next couple months. Fast forward to first week of December 2021. Same issue pops up only this time followed by another warning light (an orange engine). My normal fix, turning it off and then back on) did not work this time. I took it to the dealership again... this time they kept it for 3 days. At the end of the 3 days, they said it was a software update, they cleared the code, and said I was good to go. YAY!
NOT! Next day, driving home from work... guess what. Yep, the autostop light back on. Tried the old fix and it worked for that day. I thought I might be ok for a couple weeks. Nope, it came back the next day. I don't know what else to do now. Anyone else having the same or similar issue? Is there any help?

I suspect the problem isn't with the auto stop start system, but with another system that's causing the auto stop start to be disabled. Engine misfires can cause auto stop start to be disabled before the misfires trigger their own check engine light.

So… what do I do? Back to the dealership?

Did you pull the codes for your check engine light, or did the dealer tell you why it was on?

Get a cheap OBDii reader and scan it next time. There is probably some pending but not posting misfire codes on a cold startup that clear on the next startup when it is warm.

I ran into this issue on my 2020 Gladiator. Until it posts a hard check engine light for a misfire, the dealership is just going to punt.

Yes, I have a similar situation except mine is much worse. I have a 2020 max tow and it started about 8 months ago. I Took it to two places and they can't find anything wrong with it. What I was told was when they scan the jeep to get the code it doesn't have a memory and can't tell them what is wrong or went wrong. Brilliant engineering! They reset the system and updated software but the same with you it went back the the same day. The two Batteries all checked out to be ok. SOOOO... this is my problem thats worse then a simple auto/stop start light that goes on. When I forget to push the button I'll be driving for a few minutes and say at a red light it turns off and I release the brake with my foot and it will not start. So I have to put the car in Park and press the start button and start the car myself or I also found out that when I'm in drive at a stop and the engine cuts off... I move the shifter from drive through neutral past reverse and then in Park and it starts by itself! Ha, Ha, Its fun when people are beeping at you at a red light and this BS happens. Well it gets worse! Sometimes when I forget to press the auto/stop button when I first get in to deactivate it and then start to drive slowly away the transmission locks up and jerks and goes into a blinking park on my manual shifter and I'm pressing the gas and its just revving. Very dangerous! This has happened to me backing out of a parking spot in oncoming traffic. I was backing out doing about 2 mph and it locks up and jerks to a stop and goes into park. So I push the push the start button and turn it off and then turn it back on again. Please someone help... Dealers are useless just so you all know I have a 2.5 in lift with 35's and has never been modified or beatdown off-road. Im at a loss and this is i'm sure a lemon!

I'm pretty new to the Gladiator and new to Auto Start/Stop. I know these have a safety feature that if your door is open you can not shift out of park. I wonder if your Jeep thinks there is a door open. Maybe double check all the door harnesses to ensure they are secure? Just a thought.

My auto start/stop was throwing four warning lights - auto start/stop, low battery, charging light and check engine light. It also went into "limp home" mode several times on start up with the warning lights. I told my dealer SA that my volt meter was constantly 14.6 or 14.7. After three trips to the dealer for service, the fix was replace a relay which solved all of those issues. At one point the SA said Jeep was recommending a trickle charge nightly. I told him that was an absurd answer and no one would buy an IC vehicle that he/she had to plug in nightly.
