Aux Battery - Recharge and keep?

I just replaced the Aux battery.
I saw where some dealerships would just recharge and say "its fixed - good to go."
Should I just recharge it and keep or turn in for the core?

Lots of good battery posts out there if your looking to understand the system.

If you have already replaced it. The work is done. Return the older aux for your core charge. The factory Aux battery seems pretty notorious for failure. But it's also a maintenance item along with the main battery. If you had a reason to replace the aux, you might want to replace your main as well.

Yeah I replaced the main battery with a new one.
THEN, I found out about the "Aux battery" when the new one
started getting badly drained as well!
I replaced the main pretty quickly (2 weeks) so I hope there
wasn't too much damage done.

I'll just turn it in for the core for peace of mind, if nothing else.
(IMO - JEEP needs to provide ports for a trickle charger)

If there is a core charge to get back, I would say turn it back in.

I have done two Aux Battery deletes and actually pressed one into service in my riding mower and the other sits on the shelf under a trickle charger that I use as a portable 12vdc source for a fluid transfer pump.
