Axial SCX24 Gladiator JT

Pumped to see Axial releasing an SX24 Jeep Gladiator in Gobi and Hydro. These RTR mini crawlers are capable out-of-the-box but can tackle some pretty good terrain with a few extra mods (like brass weights and a better servo). I bought my son (and I) the Wrangler and C10 for Christmas and built us an indoor coastal theme track (wip). Looking forward to adding a sting grey paint matched JT to the party.

It does look fantastic! I already have the SCX10 III Gladiator and now I'll have the 1/24 flavored one as well. If they come out with an SCX6 version my wife is going to be seriously annoyed.

I am surprised that there hasn't been more posts on these 1/24th scale Gladiators. I got mine a couple weeks ago and have had a blast. They're small enough to fool around with inside and crawl on legos, but tough enough to take outside in the dirt. My sons and I have been getting non-stop entertainment from them. We were having so much fun with the Gladiator we bought Axial's Wrangler and the Deadbolt so I didn't have to share! Anyways here are a few pics and I made a fun video on my SCX24 Hydro Blue:

A little late to this thread, but I also got my scx24!

The goal is to make it look as close to my Gladiator as possible.

Next thing is to paint a clear body Sting Gray (or as close as possible) with Zero painting experience. I am sure it will go swell.

But! Check out those wheels!

Painting an RC body is not that bad, mask off the windows and hit it with a rattle can. If you want a design, use a cricut to cut the pattern, stick it on prior to painting, then hit that after the base color. Always paint the inside of the body, not the outside.

No design, thankfully. Should make it easier! I have watched a few videos of painting. I see a lot of them be fine with (imo) not fine results.

Your cars look great! I hope mine turns out that nice.

Now, how do I go about getting 1/24 scale custom decals to replace the Rubicon stickers with Mojave?

My wife and I painted our mini rigs last night trying to match our Jeeps.

Her Jeep came out perfect! Matte black wrapped 4xe. I have some electric blue accents coming to help match her Wrangler a bit better.

My Gladiator paint wasn't quite right. Near match to the Billet Silver color. So, if anyone wants to match their silver Jeep, Tamiyo Bright Gun Metal is your color!

Going to try again with another color (if I can find one) in a few weeks. When I get close I will add the Mojave decals and all!

I've had this itch for some time. The DeadBug and JLU buggy are the same just different body shells. I just added 4mm to teh Buggy axles. I have new bearing and 72mm tires coming tomorrow. Soon to have 54mm shock. I added Gladiator rear links and driveshafts front and rear.
The 10th scale has the Injora JT8I painted to match my JT.

Axial had them on sale at KOH last week, so I finally pulled the trigger. Was good fun around the campfire ring rocks before lighting the fire for the night.

Now down the rabbit hole I go. Just ordered a new clear body, a can of Firecraker red Mopar paint, and a camper shell. trying to match the full size as close as possible. Looks like the hardest part will be finding Method 701s and a front ARB bumper.
