Good Afternoon!!
My husband and I bought a 2024 Gladiator Mojave X about 2 weeks ago. Traded my 2016 GMC Canyon that I’ve had since new. The Canyon was a GREAT truck and I can’t complain. We were actually looking to get a 2024 Canyon….but…. GM seems to have one issue after another (and my husband doesn’t like the 4cyl turbo?). I work from home fulltime, so we opted to get a FUN vehicle to enjoy the top down and doors off.
We’re not new to the Jeepin world…. We had a 92 Wrangler Islander named IZZY back in 2001. Izzy had Grand Wagonner Dana44’s w/ ARB’s and 4.5” lift and 33’s. Unfortunately, Izzy was in an on-road accident (bought the wreck)and swapped everything over to IZZY II (1994 Jeep Wrangler on 35’s). We trailered Izzy II to various places, including Tellico. We had sooo much fun back then!! Things change and life changes…clubs fall apart.. and we got OLD…… ?
I introduce you to IZZY III……. Nothing fancy. We don’t plan on doing anything other than a GREEN trail…. but just lovin the jeep community again. YES!! I got my first DUCK last weekend at Quadratec!! I’ve been giving away ducks too! You just can’t get that kinda fun with other vehicles. I used to do the ‘forum’ thing back when I was younger - so please pardon. I’m getting tired of Facebook groups. ? We’re from Lancaster County PA. If you’re in the area, look us uP! Happy Jeepin’!!

Welcome to the forum. Lot of great people here. Lot of twisted minds too. LOL Enjoy your new JT.
Age is a statement of mind. Act the way you feel. I just turned 68 last week. I'm doing things that I shouldn't.
I'm in the south west corner of the state. Fayette county.

Dang it, now you got me thinking about the one on the dealer lot I looked at a few weeks ago. I was trying really hard to forget all about that truck.
Making it worse - my wife tonight says "watch out for deer" (it was dark, and we were in hills, curves and rural back highways) and I said yeah, that would ruin our night - and she came back with "you don't want to trade in a messed up truck"........... stop it!

Anyway, good choice, love the blue............ report back on your thoughts on the new large radio and seats and such. Those are new in Gladiator for 2024 model year.

You should listen to the wife!! ? The new features is why we opted to get the 24…..instead of 23. The screen, wireless carplay, Adaptive cruise, etc - and sooo many features & options my previous truck didn’t have. The seats are nice and comparable to the previous truck. I love that is has the Auto 4WD and the Adaptive cruise control. I’m impressed with the OEM tires - took it on highway at 70mph during a bad rainstorm. I was expecting to get some sort of hydroplaning, but didn’t. So that was refreshing. Took it out for a test drive around the neighborhood towing the boat (3,500lbs) and it did well. We’ll use the JT more for towing the boat than driving anywhere else…..

C’mo….You know you want it. ?

Got an email from our dealer and he said the one I had been looking at sold and was delivered yesterday.
Maybe just as well as if I trade my Overland - it means I have to spend days, if not weeks, removing all of my "stuff" - winch, snow plow wiring and relays and control boxes and adapters, bumper backup lights, MOPAR longer lower control arms, 12v and USB outlets in the bed of the truck - and more. Just so much to do and my head/health and dizziness isn't quite up to the task of doing that "in a rush". I couldn't get it all done in a week. Maybe if there were more Jeep people here who knew Gladiators and electric, I could have a big "Disassemble my mods party".
Possible I'd leave the Synergy front springs in as I'm not sure I'd use them in a Mojave - but then I don't know if Mojave front springs will handle the weight and abuse of a snow plow, either, so maybe I'd swap those back out, too, just so I would have those springs just in case.

So I guess it's a good thing that one sold - nothing to go look at and drool over, move on. Plenty of time if I do decide to swap.

Main concerns with Mojave - for me:
Towing 5,000 pounds
mpg - I can get 20, sometimes more, in the summer, 19 with wind and iffy conditions, 18-19 in the winter. So real-world MPG for a heavy heavy Mojave with 4.10 gearing and bigger, heavier tires makes me think I'd be losing several mpg.
Handling the weight of a snow plow up front. Soft springs ain't gonna cut it.

Will be interesting to follow and see how things work out for you.
Good choice, good color (my 2022 Overland is my second Gladiator in the hydro blue - love it, but my wife says they look good in silver, too - although snazzberry would be a definite check box)

My mind is still back there, the body won't allow what the mind wants to do. 67 turned out to be a b$%^& for me.

No way a Mojave can get 20MPG towing 5,000 pounds, I get 17-18 around town 19-20 highway, 13.5 towing in hill area, Delaware at beach gas mileage goes up a lot. I really want to go to skinny tires 255/80/17 , which are an inch taller and 1.5” narrower and could hope a tiny bit better gas mileage. I do live in a hilly area , even my driveway is steep and goes 800 feet up hill. My biggest problem is grandkids live 13 minutes away so in winter Jeep warms up for five minutes, drive 13 miles then repeat! ….Jack
