Here are my issues with the infotainment:

1. Black screen on backup camera, but wheel lines and parking sensors work
2. Sirius channels will scroll through randomly non stop until radio is turned off.
3. The back up camera is blurry when it's hot outside. Front camera is clear with great resolution. When it's cooler out the backup camera is clearer, but still not as good as front.

Does this sound like a software issue, hardware issue or possibly even a Tazer issue. I have unmarried the Tazer and then re-installed it and it did not correct the problem. Thoughts?

Correlation does not imply causation yada yada.......but I sometimes also see something similar with both my Stinger head units. In my case, it's so sporadic I have decided it's not worth investing any troubleshooting time in.

Sounds like the video processor could be fried. You mentioned it gets worse with heat, meaning either the camera circuit between the sensor in the camera and the radio got wet and has corrosion causing interference, or the chip that actually processes the video signal is faulty.

Are you not under warranty, or have an extended warranty that covers your electronics?
-Your vehicle is new enough you'd probably still qualify for an extended warranty (make sure it covers ALL electronics)..after you fix this issue.

PSA to anyone buying a modern vehicle: if you're not getting an extended warranty that at least covers all electronics, you're in for a rough ownership as vehicles age.

My 2002 Subaru has only had one electrical failure, but I'm the 8th owner, it was a track car (race car) before my ownership, and I know for a fact one of the previous owners was a hack.
- That only failure was the ECU, specifically the transistor which controls the EBCS solenoid wouldn't latch. Everything else works fine on it, so I swapped a used ECU and reflashed with my tuning and BAM back in business. Can't do that on modern vehicles with the CANBUS bs.

Mine is 30% of the time and usually when there is a kid in a stroller behind me.

Yes I'm still under warranty. I still have 1`0K miles left and will probably just let them fix the camera issues whenever I get the fire recall fixed or when it bursts Ito flames whichever comes first. I would highly doubt it got wet since I have only seen about 3" of rain in the 2 years I've lived in Utah.

Why wait? Better to have it documented now and if parts take a while, you’re already on the list vs waiting and being further down the list.

We both know Stellantis is a failure at getting things correct the first time, so why let them take longer than necessary?

Also, not sure how your state works, but in many states with safety inspections, the backup camera is part of the inspection and can fail you for not working (legally) and as long as you’re on the repair list and documented, they can usually not fail you since you’ve done everything you can to prevent the issue from taking longer to fix.

Good luck at the dealer!

We don't have inspections in Utah. Main reason for waiting is we usually have long repair times with only one Jeep dealership here.

Mine has been going in and out on me as well. Black screen of death. I just don’t worry about it too much because the sensors still beep if something is behind me and I have the Wolfbox back there. Am looking at installing one of those cool backup beeps things probably in the cavity where the taillight goes for added safety. I dread going to the dealership for anything but buying the occasional part because wait times here are known to be pretty long as far as getting work done and getting the vehicle back. My LJ took about 1.5 weeks to get that fuel tank evap recall thing done and that was about a decade ago. Things have only gotten worse since, I’d imagine.

I just had my infotainment system replaced on Monday in my 2025, and issues persist. Have called the stealership and they have yet to get back with me.
Issues:
-random reboots
-screen/camera projection freezing
-random changing of channels
-TOMTOM not working
-constant map updates that don’t update
-etc…

Major pain in the butt since we travel quite a bit.
