This is very cool info in this thread. I'm opting out of the DIY fabbing for this myself and have ordered some brackets from Carter Fab and Machine, you can find them on the social medias and I ordered via an instagram PM.

They are on the way and I intend to use some Rigid cubes in there, either Flood or Diffused. Right now I am seeing a better price on Flood Dually Pro's so may go that way, the new Radiance Scenes look cool too (but pricey). For wiring, I'm thinking just using up Aux 2 direct and not linking to the backup lights. I don't always want the big lights kicking on when I back up, just if I have trouble seeing using the LED bulbs I put in my stock housings. And I want to be able to use them as work lights for camping and such when not in reverse. Only risk is that I will accidentally leave them on driving down the road which I did with my JK rear bumper lights a couple times and pissed some people off... yikes.

Just thinking out loud - If you tapped into your bed lights you would be able to use the bed light switch which would let you know they were on with the dash indicator.

Well, I tap

Well, I tapped into the reverse light on the trailer harness (center wire) and just ran a wire from the engine bay for the aux wire and just tapped one of the LED + wires. I put a 5A 60v diode for the aux wire on the connection in the engine bay and the other on the tap for the reverse wire. On the diode, the end with the gray stripe goes towards the lights. Thats it...
whats the diode for? or should i go google it? its been a while since electronics tech ed class in 1999

It keeps the current directional and prevents backflow so that the electronics (canbus) do not freak out. When I use the aux button, it prevents the current from affecting the reverse lighting circuit and vice versa...

ohhh, NICE! and smart.

I was wondering, what happens if you're in reverse (power from reverse is turning on the lights) and then you flip the aux button as well? does this screw anything up, or since the power from both circuits is coming from a single battery there's no issue?

Direct message him on Instagram is how I ordered. You can get them raw or powder coated, I paid for the coating $100 shipped for the set. Seemed like a lot until you start looking at other bracket kits for retrofitting fogs and things into other trucks. I paid via PayPal, got a shipping tracking notice USPS and they should arrive tomorrow. Rigid diffused Dually Pro's arrive next week. So next warm day I got some wire to pull...

There was something on facebook that Vision-X is coming out with a kit for the Gladiator rear bumper but apparently its not on their website yet. No idea on cost. I like supporting the independent fabricator, hope it works out well.

Thanks for the info. Looks really interesting but I'd like more info and I don't do FB or instagram for ordering products. Hope he does email and phone if no website but so far I don't see it.

If he doesn't come up with more conventional contact info I'll keep looking and go with Vision-X or another company (Rigid, KC, etc.) when they make these available.

Ohh I see you said two diodes, one for aux and one for reverse so either or won't backfeed when the other source is on.....
What happens when you're in reverse and aux is on? The lights just get 12 volts from either/both simultaneously? This isn't like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters is it?

i'm assuming with the diodes in place, its like having 2 wires run to battery positive, which would be like 1 bigger wire........i think:movember:
