That explains why the Raleigh 4WP store reopened as an Off Road Warehouse location 6 months after the 4WP store closed. (doesn't help me with my worthless warranty though)
That was a different situation there. That was Adler owned property that the lease was up so he took over.

"There's a lot of disruption happening in our field, but we aren't affected and continue to support our products"

How is this classless? A lot of people didn't know about the consolidation of the market or what brands are affected. MC is clarifying where they stand as a company.

I don't get the hate for MC, I have two of their suspensions and both are fantastic. Their customer support was great when I had questions and the one minor problem I had with some missing hardware was resolved quickly by them sending parts overnight.

I'd absolutely do business with them again - I want to be clear that this is in no way a criticism of any other company.

I feel this was an intentional dick move. Know what else is funny allot of their employees are former 4WP employees.

You're entitled to whatever feels you like, but that's not the way I read it. I took it as a letter intended to calm retailers and shops doing business with Metalcloak that they are not affected by the disruption. We've already heard from members here who have lost warranty support due to this private equity BS. Small local shops that install and sell these parts are sweating bullets right now wondering if they will have product or of orders will be fulfilled. The knock-on effect is going to really hurt these smaller operations that sell and install Teraflex and other affected brands.

Sounds like a lot of people left 4WP and were drawn to a small company - makes me wonder why they left and why the grass was greener at Metalcloak. No one leaves their job because they are happy there and are being treated well, just sayin'. Maybe there's more to this story than either of us know, but not everything has a sinister motive. For all we know Metalcloak has been getting calls from customers asking about whether they are wrapped up in this mess and the letter was drafted to assuage those fears.

It's okay to give people the benefit of the doubt.

This is good for the industry, expect to see allot of ARB products to start being pushed in the US.
"Start"? You know ARB has had warehouses in the USA for over 30 years now? Only recently they have started selling retail.

They informed their customer base that they have made good business decisions and are still a strong business, not going anywhere. They apparently never sold their company out to some big corporation and they now are being rewarded by that.

Their employees are former 4WP employees... Cool! I wouldn't want any Metalcloak employees behind hired from Starbucks! lol Would you?

I'm aware, I am in the industry. They will have a larger presence now in the 4WP stores. When a lot of locations start to push a certain brand. It will influence the market because people will see it on other vehicles.

For a few years, most 4WP stores had a corner of the store designed and built out by ARB, part of the co-op agreement with 4WP. The results were mediocre. This was pre-flu, so we will see if anything has changed.

Perhaps the increased retail sales from more brick and mortar will create a slight reduction in ARB pricing... one can dream.

This would explain why Morimoto in Ga has no customer service-been trying to get a simple defective screw replaced on some 2Banger ditch lights since the end of Oct 24. Worst quality and service I have had online. Can’t even leave a bad review online as there is no option to do so. I’m staying away from these guys.

The same Hoonigan that was co-founded by Ken Block, who died last year? $1.75 Billion in debt? yikes
Sounds like perfect timing. I hope I die $1.75B in debt and if I keep buying Jeeps I'm well on my way.

You can't take it with you, so go for it. I'll be in the same box soon.

My plan:

If I get sick with something bad, like cancer, my wife and I will divorce so I take on all the medical debt. In fact, I would take in all the debt, I would max out credit cards with cash advances to pay off everything I can and then die penniless and "divorced" on paper. This way I don't wipe her out just because I got sick.

If I die owing the government and multi-billion dollar healthcare companies a fuck ton of money with no way to recover it, that means I won!

My plan too if I get something terminal. Divorce the wifey. Put everything the house and vehicles in her name. Get some new credit cards. Do a cash advance and max them all out. Give the money to the wifey. Be my luck I find out that a got a bad diagnosis and I live for another 30 yrs. And the wifey runs off with the pool boy to boot.
