Really appreciate the review. Looking to go bigger (37s or 38s) on my Mojave and two of the tires I have been debating between are the Baja Boss A/T vs M/T in 37. I generally run an aggressive MT but the Boss AT has my interest for the likely improvement on the road in snow, ice, and rain. Wish they came in a 38x12.5!

Cheers
I think 38s are the perfect tire under a Gladiator! $500 for a Nitto.... The only other choice is the Patagonia.

I've got them in 37x12.5x17 on methods. They have an amazing look, their on road manners have been great and I got to use them in fresh snow and VERY icey roads this past weekend and was super pleased. In weather that my old ridge grapplers would have tokyo drifted in, I drove around like it was a sunny day.
Phenomenal tire.

Fantastic to hear. Mine are sitting waiting to be mounted when it’s lifted. Waiting for suspension parts. 5 in 37x12.5x17. Ordered the clayton bent rear track bar so I can fit the spare. The wait is killing me. Really glad to hear they’re good in ice and snow. A requirement for me.

I actually fit a fullsize matching spare in the rear with no aftermarket parts!

Yeah I wish there was more 38’s. There are two choices from Nitto, then you have the Patagonias, Goodyear MTR’s and BFG’s KO2 and KM3’s in ā€œ39ā€ which is really a 38 but that’s about it, that I know of.

37’s will always be it for me as I don’t want to relocate the spare.

im convinced you could fit a spare 38 under the truck if it was aired down.
I’ve got a 37 spare right now with 35 psi and it fits (its tight but it fits).

i’d be curious to see if this has been done

I’ve heard of people airing down the spare, but I’d rather it be ready to use. I have my compressor/tank when I’m camping and/or wheeling, but not when I’m just daily driving. Thanks for the picture, as mine will end up looking the same. Glad it fits with 35psi.

Yea pretty much...and ironically I really dislike all of these tires as they just don't perform well here in PNW despite their popularity. I REALLY don't understand the love for KO2 as they are literally the worst tire I have ever run in the rain but I digress lol (flame suit on).

But yea, what got me looking at 38s was the Baja Pro XS...really knarly looking tire but they would have even more compromises so likely not going that route.

Cheers

Yea that makes sense! Excited to see yours mounted with the lift. Im on stock height atm, but actually getting some more clearance by taking out rear inner fenders today

I can’t wait. Just waiting on parts. It’s going to probably be the end of the build. 3.5ā€ JKS lift, fox 2.0’s, new track bars, steer smarts yeti steering upgrades, sumo springs to replace bump stops, custom ram 1500 rear springs to avoid any sag when overlanding and trailering, front axle shaft upgrades from RCV, 5.13 gears, and the tires from this thread. I’ll post pictures when it’s done.

I need to see this rig before I leave CO.
I’m still planning on the July trip, but I may be coming up from AZ for it. I’ll likely be moved prior

Gears and steering stuff are in. Waiting primarily on JKS suspension parts. The sumo springs are in too. Last I checked the front axle shafts were still delayed as well. All I can do is wait. The goal is still for January, if parts all get here. Where in CO are you. Happy to meet up for a beer if they it gets done. Or if it doesn’t. Nice to just talk Jeeps.

For those of you running the 37x12.5, could you tell me what they actually measure out to be on the Jeep at street pressures? I have heard they run truer to size than others which would be awesome.

Cheers
