Banks Power 66797 Derringer Tuner with iDash SuperGauge DataMonster for 2020-21 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT with 3.0L Engine
Even More Reasons to Own a Derringer :
  • Adds up to 57 hp and 73 lb-ft
  • 4.3 truck length lead in the 1/4 mile
  • 0-60 mph 1-second faster
  • 6 power levels that can be changed on-the-fly via iDash. Each level adds approx 11-12 hp
  • Logs up to 100 parameters at 20hz for hundreds of hours of datalogs
  • Plug-and-play installation with easy removal for dealer service
  • Interfaces with OBD-II Port (On-Board Diagnostics) to communicate with vehicle's ECM
  • Warranty friendly: no reflash required and no traces left in ECM
  • Works while in cruise-control
  • ActiveSafety protects engine/powertrain
  • Dash displays dozens of temps, pressures, speeds, and info your dashboard doesn't
  • iDash displays 5 customizable pages of 2-8 gauges per page
  • iDash displays DPF regen status, distance between regens, DEF level
  • Real-time bar graph displays Derringer's added power

57hp and 73lb-ft…that seems high; I know you can get a lot out of a diesel and all, but 3.0? I would love to be able to see my boost psi, and monitor how much work the turbo is doing at different stages and driving terrai. never used a plug and play before and don’t trust the numbers banks is saying here. That would put the 3.0 diesel at 317hp (sweet) 515lb-ft torque that’s super sweet. Lol anybody know of anyone running this and have the numbers been validated on Dyno

I have had mine installed along with a pedal monster for 2 weeks and 1700mi. Running 37x12.50x17 Yokohama x-at on Hutchinson rock monster wheels with stock 3.73 gears and a tazer . I keep the pedal monster either in stock or city 3, and most of the time the derringer is set between stock and 3, it goes from stock to 6. In the rain it will absolutely light the rear wheels up, and if you let off and get back into the throttle it will go right bake to spinning the tires. It is still a 3.0, not a deleted and tuned 6.7, but it is 100% wicked for a stupid heavy, small displacement diesel Jeep truck.
It is a lot like the old fuel boxes that we used to install on 24valve and common rail dodges. It taps into map, fuel pressure and gauges read from OBD2 connector. 20min under hood install under hood if you are handy and efficient, cleanly running the wiring and mounting the gauge and making it all look stick will take a lot longer.
If you can drive it like a sane, mature, responsible adult it would be food on any setting and seems to get better mileage between setting 2-4. On 6 I drop 1-2mpg, because I find that I enjoy the extra performance a little too much. Also thereason I generally stay between stock-3.
I have no idea how accurate the published numbers are, but it would seem to be close based off of my known dyno numbers from a 331 Ford stroker that made 462.6@6900rpm on the dyno while chasing numbers and multiple Cummins builds with known dyno numbers with similar builds(injectors, turbos, tuners and fuel and timing boxes).
Worth it to me.

I did the same to my new JT. Running 38 15.50 on 20s.
The install was a PIA for me. The plugs on the back of the motor are buried. We had to remove a bunch of stuff to get to it. Super frustrating and time consuming.
However…. Worth it.
The difference is huge. Coupled with the pedal monster it will straight get it. Doesn’t know the 38s are there. PM is a bit jumpy on high sport levels but the 30 levels of fine tuning.
Tazer to be installed too to fix Speedometer.
Try and post results when I get it hooked up.
