I got a Banks Derringer because I didn't feel like getting another ECU and getting cloned by the dealer. That may change in the future.

I haven't installed a derringer because it's a pain in the butt to put in (at least in my head it is) when I'll have to pull it before taking in for the CP4 recall. I think it is the cheapest way to do it. I'm a cheap ass. There, I said it.

I had a banks derringer for a very short period. It made my dash light up and go into limp mode. Pulled it out and returned it to banks who had good enough customer service to take it back.

As noted, Banks isn’t a tune. With that said, I’ve had my Banks Derringer and Pedal Monster for about 8K miles - no complaints. I’ve pulled it before taking into the dealership … didn’t take long as I just left the harness and tucked out of the way.

i understand, but comparison is still the point.
If you understand the differences between the two, then that's likely all you have to base your decision on.

I don't think there's an A/B comparison as far as actual performance gains.

I briefly had an aFe but didn't feel confident with it so went with GDE. Pulls harder than stock, very modest mileage gains. Power is still inconsistent as stock was.
