I have a GDE on my JLURD. Getting between 23-24 mpg on 37" KO2's. I can light the rear tire from a standstill and in 4x4 with a 3000 rpm launch 60 arrives in less than 6 seconds. Oil seems cleaner than her 21 that is stock. Transmission tune holds a gear longer when cold to aid warm up. Also the torque converter locks up sooner when rolling. It feels like a manual if I completely lift my foot off the throttle. Also removes the torque limiter in the first 5 gears. By my fuzzy math, I'm putting just over 400 ft lbs of torque at the wheel. Also mine will pay for itself in about 40000 miles.

You’re getting 23-24 combined? How much city driving do you do? Mostly Highway?

My commute is mostly highway but lots of hill and a string of traffic lights halfway through. I filled up in Long Lake, NY in the Adirondacks and drove about 200 miles in the park with no traffic lights and ran just under 28 mpg. It takes some fuel to get the beast moving.

i got 28 mpg once on 37s with no tunes… it was a windless day on a flat freeway and I was drafting (or really…tailgating) a semi at 65. ?? 23-24 combined would be awesome.

I went with the Banks set up. iDash gauge, Pedal Monster, and Derringer. The reason being that I didn't need a separate cloned ECU. Plus trying to find a dealer willing to do the cloning. If I have to go back to the dealer for service. Undo 3 plugs and it's back to stock. If it wasn't for the cloning. Think I might have gone with GDE or MRTuning.
I riding the fence on this myself. I want a cloned stock PCM which may be a bitch to get, plus the extra cost. I havent even looked at MRT. Ive been reading the Banks claims, but doesnt the GDE help with regens, by diverting some of the EGR flow or something like that? I want this shit EGR system to be reduced and save this engine for many miles to go.
Reading the comments about the Banks system just bumping pressure and faking out the computer on the fuel delivery make me just go with GDE. I dont want to put anymore strain on the weak fuel pump. GDE must raise pressure too, right? How do they get the power

You guys with the GDE tune. I know alot of dealerships will flash the ECUs with the latest updates. Do you tell them not to do this?

For the sake of warranty and many other reasons I would just go with the cloned ECU…. Swap for drop off.

I don’t see it mentioned yet….
Gde is going to basically shut off the pre dpf egr pickup…. Which should tremendously help with the reduction of soot in the oil…. While it’s not a delete…. It’s probably going to be the most beneficial to motor longeviTy

My one question about having a cloned ECU is, what does the dealer say when the mileage never changes?

They also count key cycles.

Mileage updates on key cycle, i don't know the specifics to be honest but any ECM I've thrown in has never changed my mileage. I suspect it's stored in another module.
