As a guitarist and someone who plays music, I appreciate high-quality music, and listen to music ALL the time. I listen to industrial metal and german metal and things like that...Think Rammstein, Lord of the Lost, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, things like that...But also 90's alternative and rock, heavy metal, etc... So I don't need tons of bass... I just need a good solid thump over the mids & highs, and a clean set of coaxials all the way around, and I'm happy. There was a time back when I liked really heavy bass, but that time has passed for me. My Cummins desperately needs two 10's in it, because the cabin space is so huge, there really is no mid-bass out of the coaxials without distorting the rest of the sounds coming out of the speakers. So once I get my next paycheck, I will probably order my 10's and amp and box for it. Other than that, I really enjoy the factory 8.4" 9-speaker Alpine system in my JTR! Best factory sound system I've ever heard, and surprised it's in a Jeep. I just remember how my buddy's old JK sounded, and it was shit...Just being honest.

trying to get out of my current F150, I test drove a 2012 JKu. It was a hardtop. I couldn't believe how bad the stock system sounded. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. Even worse than our TJ.
