Battery warning light while winching

I imagine this has been covered somewhere but I can't find anything.

Today I needed to winch up an icy snow covered hill while out for a little drive. I reset the winch 4 times to get past the icy section safely. On the 1st pull, the nice red battery light on the dash came on, I kept the pull going because light or not, I had to self-recover or slide off the side into trees creating a giant problem.

On the 2nd pull no red light, all good, same for 3rd and 4th. Can anybody point me to some facts on what the reason for this might have been? Truck is a 2022 Mojave, with 57500km on it.

I have had the same issue before with my JL I owned at the time. When you did your first pull, you just tripped the battery charge system into seeing an excessive amp draw that it initially was not ramped up to handle. Once you performed your second and successive winch pulls, the alternator was already ramped up to a higher state of charge from the first pull.
