I think I might have been able to avoid it by making a sudden turn, but perhaps doing so would have caused the vehicle to lose control and be hit by a large truck from behind...

I think given the circumstances you did the right thing by keeping it straight.

You minimize the danger to you and your passengers, and at the low speed you were traveling at you also minimize the potential damage to your Gladi.

It's one of those things that will catch you if lose focus for that exact wrong second.

as person who has rear ended someone as a dumbass 18yr old, and been rear ended twice. Shit happens. There's always something to learn but you also have to remember, you can do everything right to a T, and it'll still go sideways. you can always minimize risk, but you can't be rid of it. basically, don't beat yourself up over it. years of safety innovations did their job and everyone turned out fine. nothing but dented bumpers and bruised feelings. You could always walk away with worse or not even walk away at all. So before the old heads get in here and berate you, cus you didn't do the rain dance, check psi, check oil, run flashers and drive 20 under every single day of ur life. You should get a steel bumper, then your only consequences could be solved with a rattle can of black paint ?

I think it's about 59℉. Canton's latitude is about the same as Hawaii, so there shouldn't be black ice here. I think the reason I was able to slide so far is probably because of the AT tires and the slippery ground.

What you said makes sense, shit happens, I'm lucky no one got hurt.
If you look at our previous photos, we did have steel bumpers installed for a while...but I'm glad I switched back to plastic bumpers when this happened because I was worried that the traffic police would notice my modification.

It doesn't matter... at least this trip was not in vain. Our tube door is still modifying the last details. We got the laser-engraved stainless steel logo, which will be screwed on the inside of the tube door with the rearview mirror screws.
Of course, you can also choose not to install it, which will not affect the use of the tube door, and there will not be any logo on the door.
As we promised at the beginning, our logo will be placed in a hidden position, install it or not, rather than trying to turn any jt into our billboard
