Bed lighting relocation?

Just seeking ideas here.
I just added a swing out storage box on my drivers side of the bed. Subsequently blocking the bed light on that side.
Has anyone re located the bed light or disconnected, and wired in a new light to that side to gain the light back?

I was thinking of an IP rated strip led or rock light below the swing out box to shine the light under it towards the bed. Or adding something in the middle attached to the underside of the bed rail behind the swing out box angling towards the bed.

Preferably using/tapping into the existing harness for that light to keep things somewhat clean.

Any visuals are appreciated..

Tapping into the factory bed light circuit using a relay or directly splicing the positive/negative wires allows you to run LED strips or rock lights. This keeps operation with the stock bed switch, which works even when the vehicle is off.

Thats an idea too!! If you have the bed rail system some rock lights will mount right to some T Nuts for a good amount of lighting.

This is the route I am going. My Decked blocks the factory lights and they are pretty much useless. I am going to run LED lighting in the roof of my Ali-Cab canopy and splice into the factory lights. I also have the lights in the canopy and a Kingpin light that I am powering from constant 12v so I can operate them anytime.

The rock light is a pretty clever idea. We did something similar on one of our Broncos after adding rear storage. Since the storage blocked a lot of the factory cargo lighting (and Broncos don't have much back there to begin with), we added a few rock lights to illuminate the interior and cargo area. It's worked out really well, especially since we can adjust the brightness depending on whether we're loading gear at camp, products from an event, or just grabbing something quickly at night.

Which ones allow for T nut application?
KC has those cyclone lights i was thinking of modding somehow to fit but i would like to be able to angle the lights down from the rail or under rail. Im definetly running off the factory harness, i have a spare light at work im going to cut and re use the pigtail connector on when the time comes.
