Trying to identify if I can put a factory bed outlet in… but can not find the pigtail needed to run to the switch inside. Does anyone have a picture of the plug and the wire colors? i found one plug taped up but it looks too big? Its a 25 Rubi.

Ok happy to report I found it… took panel below steering wheel off, just clips.. worked my way to unscrew headlight bezel..and removed, loosened speaker bolts and unclipped both electrical lines and gave me enough wiggle to pull her thru.. I did have to pop the top leather part of the dash to get at a few screws but all and all not too bad!!!

All I can say is that I looked at installing the bed outlet. I even purchased the outlet itself. At the time, trying to order the panel, switch and the jumper harness for the rear was a pain. Backordered, deleted orders and repeat orders lasted a few months and I gave up. I even had my Tazer installed to get it to work. Then I read what others had done. They installed something even better with more available power, not just 400watts. Some just carry a portable solution for their power needs. And last what I ended up doing, was to install a 30 amp dc outlet. Most of my needs were dc so it was an easy choice. I got hung up on a factory available option that I really didn't need.

400 watts isn't much.

I looked into this years ago... But scrapped the whole idea of oem because of harnesses ect.

I ended up get an outlet from Amazon with 12v socket, 2 USB ports ,volt meter and on/off switch. Direct wired to battery with inline fuse. It runs my fridge perfectly and charges devices great as well. No regerts

If I need more power, bluetti ac180 does the job great

I hate you!

Just joking of course. If anybody knows the story, I had to take most of my dash apart to get to that wire! Ha! I'm glad you found it. I think having the wire means that you have the inverter which is required. Hit up Benny @AllMoparParts.com for the complete kit. It's a fun install. One out of three wrenches. Blow off the area under the bed before you start. Lots of hidden dirt up there falling in your face otherwise. A good trim tool set helps too. Lots of plastic clamps on the wire harness. Have fun!

Long ass post but informative and funny at times:

Yea having a 24+ it sure was easy compared to what you pre 24 guys went through… I did hit Benny up for the parts!
Thanks for the input!
