@ShadowsPapa needs to come out here for wheeling and bourbon.
I'm thinking he'd be a riot to drink with.

Reid Racing Knuckles on the way. Cheaper than the Mojave and highly recommended.. Plus...not on back order. Oddly they are Mojave orange...or at least close...

Wish I would have had more time when I was in Colorado Springs for the AMO show and swap. My wife wanted to go out with me as she's never been to the Rockies area, never been to CO and wanted to do Pike's Peak and some shopping. I only had the hotel room for a short time and she was ready to head home. Otherwise, I might have spent a couple more days out there.

Yes sir. And I'm not as young as I once was. Did this with my first wife and my AMX - it was open to the top then (it was closed beyond this point for repairs). We were taking pictures and her camera needed film - I ran back to my car (yeah, stupid move) and when I got to it I thought I was going to pass out. Opening the glove box and getting the film out reminded me why - the sealed film wrap was swelled like a balloon.
This time I didn't even have to walk briskly to feel the lack of oxygen, but then besides being older (and, uh, a few pounds too heavy), I've had pneumonia twice since the first journey up that road.

We live at 1,100ft. The one son lives outside of Bailey Co. at over 9,000ft. It's always fun to see how plastic containers swell up, or collapse with changes in altitude. We put everything in zip lock baggies because of leakage when we travel.

I can imagine -sort of like flying.
Our elevation changes only a couple hundred feet in most areas, one hill on the way home is a drop of 100'
Yeah, I know, I'm like a kid watching those gauges in this truck.
Runnells, elevation 807', depending on the street you are standing on.

I still have mine from a few years ago.
And proud of it, too, I'm sure LOL

Oh, what crowd have I gotten myself into.

I really like the buckles. Nice and heavy-duty. And white is a PITA to keep clean.
