Best Fuse Boxes for Electrical Mods

I am looking to clean up some of my electronic installs. I am currently using the inline fuses (all near the battery) and would like to centralize all of the fuses for what I have added.

I haven't gone down the rabbit hole of the best manufacturer for these yet and thought that I would reach out to see what others have found, good or bad.

I want to install the fuse box either near the firewall (upper just passengerof center) , or below the main battery, where the aux battery is usually found. The upper portion of the passenger side of the engine bay would be difficult due to a low snorkel install. The aux battery position would work since I have quick removal inner fender liners. If the lower position is used, I will want the box to be water proof though.

I like to use Blue Sea brand electrical parts. They are a leader in marine applications and are rock solid and can be found on Amazon or at boat stores. If you are planning on revamping wiring, consider getting Ancor brand Marine Duplex wire in the desired gauge . This wire is “tinned” so you won’t get any rust developing in and along the wire under the insulation sheath.

I use Aircraft circuit breakers a lot and you can mount several in a box like this. If you make an oopsie you don’t have to search for a fuse, just push the reset button.

If I use the higher firewall mount point, then I will look into the aircraft breakers very seriously.

I will look into Blue Sea and Littelfuse a bit more and report back on any notable differences that I find.

I am leaning towards the aux battery position and reusing the harness intended for the aux battery to supply the new fuse panel (after I verify wire gauge). Thoughts? ...
