I also vouch for the rugged ridge snorkel. Love the way it look and the functionality. The only negative that I can think will be that inside hose connection contract (round to oval form) with the heat inside of the engine and the snorkel color material fade with the sun ( but can can be fix with black restorer or paint). Plus I got a really good deal that I couldn't passed.

Does it block your right side view from inside of the cabin? Yes, it does but you get used to. No big deal.

Another question that I get all the time is how many times do I drive under flood areas or deep waters?
My answer always is, the Jeep get cleaner air inside of the engine because of the intake location.
It wasn't installed for forging waters or flooded areas.

thank yall for your responses .... i actually pulled the trigger and ordered the AEV which surprisingly enough for its looks and quality was way cheaper than the jeep performance one. ill post pics when installed, i plan on adding a syklone pre filter in the future

Brands like ARB, Rugged Ridge, or Safari Snorkel often produce quality aftermarket snorkels. These might offer a balance between personalization and cost. I am quite often looking for parts on 2018 cummins delete kit . They have the right parts for every model, but sometimes the price is a bit steep. Not a big deal, but still.

As previously mentioned, in dusty conditions, it is worth it. Most of my wheeling is mud and rocks, so I didn't opt for a snorkel. Unless you really need it, I'd spend the money elsewhere. If you do decide to go ahead and do it, please take the Rubicon sticker off that side first. It looks silly as the AEV (my choice) and other snorkels fail to fully cover the sticker.
This is said a lot but I wonder how much it actually helps. This past summer I was in a 800 or so mile trip, probably 75% dirt, with a small veterans group and it was DUSTY. On the last day I ended up taking out my filter to blow air and get it a little clean before driving home and did the same for others. I do not have a snorkel, but those who did had the same amount of dust/dirt in their filter as I did, although I dont know how long their filter was in their vehicles.

Did the AEV option …. Looks and sounds sweet

That looks really good. Just keep in mind that it protects the intake of course, but it does not necessarily mean the rest of your vehicle is protected. Most modern vehicles have good electrical connections compared to days of old but the only electrical components 'guaranteed' to be 'water proof' are those at or below the factory fording depth. And the breather hose for the transfer case is known to be low - just an inch or two above the transfer. So if you do plan on doing deep water, look into extending those.

Yeah I’m aware of all the other steps required to actually prep your vehicle for deep fording. Thing is, I only got it for looks to be honest lol, it’s my DD and the moderate off-road done in it is done very carefully ???

Love your rack. What kind?
Thanks it’s a full custom built camper system I made for my gladiator, took about a year of planning and about a year to build. Still working out some design issues but have been very happy with how it is coming along. I will be posting a walk around/through in the near future of the build on my YouTube offroadcorrections. Couple pics for you.
